MAJOR PROJECTS:
List of Major Projects Attached
Generally all irrigation projects completed in the Middle East have following characteristics/ components. I was involved from design stage to installation and finally testing, commissioning and handing over of these HEIS projects.
Fully automatic irrigation systems installed were consisted of:
Pump Station: Single, multiple pumps with VFD/PLC panels, ramp up/ramp down functions, filtration units, fertigation systems etc.
Automatic Control Systems:
Irrigation Central Controllers: To automatically control irrigation through field controllers over a larger area e.g. golfcourses, residential societies etc. Mode of communication through hardwire, radio, internet etc.
Stand alone Irrigation Controller: To automatically control irrigation over a relatively smaller area.
Weather Station: In case of larger areas like golf courses to automatically schedule daily irrigation water demands w.r.t plant species.
Solenoid/Remote Control Valves: To receive voltage from irrigation controller and open and close irrigation zone water supply at remote places in the field.
Sensors to control irrigation: Installation of various types of sensors to further improve HEIS system i.e. Soil moisture sensor, Rain sensor, Wind sensor, Weather station, Solar Sync, Flow sensor etc.
Generally irrigation systems designed and installed in the Middle East included:
Drip/bubbler irrigation for ornamental/fruit trees
Drip irrigation for groundcover/seasonals/shrubs in landscape projects.
Drip for vegetable farms/green houses/tunnels/nurseries.
Impact sprinklers for fodder crop
Pop-up gear driven sprinklers for turf/lawn areas (relatively larger areas)
Pop-up sprayers for relatively smaller and irregular tight shaped turf/lawn areas.
Root zone watering systems for ornamental/fruit trees
Overhead misting system in green houses/propagation areas
Sub-surface irrigation systems.
