ANALYTICAL METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS EXPERIENCE

• Analytical method development and validation for detection of pharmaceutical

compounds that belong to different therapeutic classes (analgesics, antibiotics, lipid

regulators, antiepileptics, and X-ray contrast media) using solid phase extraction (SPE)

and analysis by gas and liquid chromatography (GC and LC) with tandem mass

spectrometry (MS/MS using ESI and APCI).

• Analytical method validation for detection of trihalomethanes, haloacetic acids, total

organic halide, and total organic bromide using different extraction techniques followed

by gas chromatography (GC) with electron capture and flame ionization detectors (ECD

and FID), total organic halide analyzer (TOX), and ion chromatography (IC) with a

conductivity detector.

• Chromatography optimization for detection of pesticides, polynuclear aromatic

hydrocarbons and endocrine disrupting compounds using high pressure liquid

chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high speed liquid chromatography (UPLC) with

ultraviolet, diode array (DAD), and fluorescence detectors (FD).

• Identification of disinfection by-products using UPLC/MS/MS and GC/MS.
