ANALYTICAL METHODS AND INSTRUMENTS EXPERIENCE
• Analytical method development and validation for detection of pharmaceutical
compounds that belong to different therapeutic classes (analgesics, antibiotics, lipid
regulators, antiepileptics, and X-ray contrast media) using solid phase extraction (SPE)
and analysis by gas and liquid chromatography (GC and LC) with tandem mass
spectrometry (MS/MS using ESI and APCI).
• Analytical method validation for detection of trihalomethanes, haloacetic acids, total
organic halide, and total organic bromide using different extraction techniques followed
by gas chromatography (GC) with electron capture and flame ionization detectors (ECD
and FID), total organic halide analyzer (TOX), and ion chromatography (IC) with a
conductivity detector.
• Chromatography optimization for detection of pesticides, polynuclear aromatic
hydrocarbons and endocrine disrupting compounds using high pressure liquid
chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high speed liquid chromatography (UPLC) with
ultraviolet, diode array (DAD), and fluorescence detectors (FD).
• Identification of disinfection by-products using UPLC/MS/MS and GC/MS.
