ABOUT CURTIN BUSINESS SCHOOL
STUDYING AT POSTGRADUATE LEVEL
Curtin University is a vibrant and collaborative place where ideas, skills and cultures come together. With campuses in Western Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as a network of university partners around the world, Curtin is an international university with a rapidly expanding global footprint.
CURTIN BUSINESS SCHOOLAs one of Australia’s top business schools, Curtin Business School (CBS) offers a wide range of quality courses with opportunities to connect with industry and gain international exposure.
There are flexible study options to suit your interests and career goals, and you’ll have access to high-tech research facilities and highly accomplished mentors.
AACSB ACCREDITATIONCBS is recognised as an elite global business school through accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) international. AACSB accreditation is awarded to business schools that meet strict standards of quality academic and professional excellence and is known, worldwide, as the longest standing, most recognised form of academic accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn, enabling your degree to be recognised around the globe.
ABOUT PERTHPerth is consistently ranked as one of the world’s most liveable cities. As the capital of Western Australia, Perth is safe, prosperous and multicultural – an ideal destination for students and tourists alike.
The city is set against the stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean and combines natural beauty with period architecture. Browse for fashion on Murray Street mall, learn to surf on the iconic Scarborough Beach or enjoy a cappuccino in historic Fremantle.
INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPSTo ensure our teaching and research remains applied and highly relevant, we have partnered with an extensive network of more than 70 highly qualified business professionals. These professionals contribute to the development of courses, student learning and research output via the Curtin Business School Advisory Network.
ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAMSIn Western Australia, Curtin runs entrepreneurial programs and provides support to start up companies through the annual week-long ignition event, the Commercial Innvovation Awards and the 10-week Curtin Accelerate program. These initiatives connect budding entrepreneurs with key contacts and help transform business ideas into successful commercial ventures.
IGNITING IDEASWe’ve all had a brilliant idea for an invention at some stage in our lives, but Curtin Ignition entrepreneur Marc Berryman has gone a step further and taken his concept for car protection from backyard prototype to the whole of Australia.
Berryman’s brainchild is a removable paintwork protection system for four-wheel drive vehicles. Aptly named Rhinohide, it’s made from high-impact ABS plastic panels that conform perfectly to a vehicle’s surface with neodymium magnets, allowing drivers to venture off-road without worrying about scratching their car.
Berryman has received support from two sets of private investors in Perth, and has appeared on Network Ten’s Shark Tank, where he earned investment from two ‘sharks’ to expand his offerings to suit a wider variety of vehicle models.
CURTIN CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIPTurning a million dollar idea into a million dollars
Since 1995 the Curtin Centre for Entrepreneurship has trained more than 4,000 Western Australian business owners in managing and growing their businesses.
The centre offers an intensive five-day workshop, including teaching sessions and expert advice from leading entrepreneurs and innovators, setting students up to succeed. Curtin has even created the position of Innovator in Residence, with the purpose of encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation among students.
Curtin proudly celebrates the innovation at its heart. This innovative spirit has seen
us mature from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (1967–1986) to the sophisticated
global university that we are today. 50years.curtin.edu.au
