With over 24 years in teaching I consider myself to be an excellent practitioner with a wealth of experience gained from working in a wide range of education settings. I have extensive leadership and management experience and am committed to school improvement and providing the best education opportunities possible for all young people.

I have a real desire for team work and staff development, which has been fundamental in all my positions. I have worked closely with trained Ofsted inspectors to ensure best practice is modelled and high standards are achieved. Due to the diverse nature of the education settings I have worked in I have had to work creatively to drive significant school improvement securing good or better judgements from HMI. I achieved this success by strategically planning school improvement priorities, restructuring curriculum provision, raising standards of teaching and learning and supporting leadership and management to drive school improvements by building on achievements and holding people to account. I am particularly proud of the creative, innovative projects that I have led and the provisions I have established. These have enhanced the skills and empowered the teams that I have line managed. They have incorporated well established strategies, built on educational research and resulted in outstanding professional development that secured effective curriculum provision, outstanding learning and teaching leading to excellent outcomes and achievements for young people.
