    Before operating the unit, please read this manualthoroughly and retain it for future reference, some featuresare:

    Wireless system that allows you to listen to a programfree from t he restriction of a cord.High fidelity sound reproduction.

    A compact transmitter with an AC power adaptor(supplied) enables simple charging of the headphonebatteries. Just by placing the headphones on thetransmitter, headphone batteries can be charged.Comfortable Circum-aural headphones with self adjusting head band.

    As power saving feature, the transmitter automaticallyturns ON when the audio signal is detected and OFFwhen the signal is not received.

    Inside a building with walls containing steel beams.Area with many steel file cabinets, etc. Area with many electrical appliances capable ofgenerating electromagnetic noise.Transmitter is placed on a metal instrument.

    Area facing roadways.Noise or interfering signals exist in the surroundingsdue to radio transceivers in trucks, etc.Noise or interfering signals exist in the surroundingsdue to wireless communication systems installed alongroadways.

    The system for this equipment utilizes very high frequencysignals in the 2.4GHz band so the receiving performancemay deteriorate due to the surroundings. Some examplesof conditions that may reduce the possible receiving rangeor cause interference with reception.

    This equipment has been tested and found to comply withthe limit s for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 ofthe FCC rules. These limits are designed to providereasonable protection against harmful interference in aresidential installation. This equipment generates, usesand can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installedand used in accordance with the instructions, may causeharmful interference to radio communications. However,there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in aparticular installation. If this equipment does causeharmful interference to radio or television reception, whichcan be determined by turning the equipment off and on, theuser is encour aged to try to correct the i nterference by oneor more of the following measures:

    To reduce the risk of fire or injury to persons, read andfollow these instructions:

    For the wireless headphone, use only 3AAA 1.2V600mAh Nickel Metal Hydride(Ni-MH) batteries (included).

    Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. The cells mayexplode. Check with local codes for possible specialdisposal instructions.

    Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Releasedelectrolyte i s corrosive and may cause damage to the eyesor skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.

    Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to shortthe battery with conducting materials such as rings,bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor mayoverheat and cause burns.

    Do not attempt to rejuvenate the batteries identified for

    use with this product by heating them. Sudden release ofthe battery electrolyte may occur causing burns or irritationto eyes or skin.

    When inserting batteries into this product, the properpolarity or direction must be observed. Reverse insertionof batteries can cause charging, and that may result inleakage or explosion.

    Remove the batteries from this product if the product willnot be used for a long period of time(several months ormore)since during this time the battery could leak in theproduct.

    Do not store this product ,or the batteries identified foruse with this product, in high temperature areas. Batteriesthat are stor ed in a freezer or refrigerator for the purpose ofextending shelf life should be protected from condensationduring storage and defrosting.

    Battery Caution

    Unpacking

    Check that you have the following items when youopen the packag ing :

    Install the batteries

    The supplied rechargeable Ni-MH batteries are notcharged from the first time you use them. Be sure tocharge them before use. To charge, the headphones,place them on the transmitter.

    Turn the battery cover according to the directionof the arrowhead silk and open it.

    Insert the supplied rechargeable Ni-MH batteriesinto the battery compartment matching thecorrect terminals between the batteries and thecompartment.

    Close the ba ttery compartment cover according tothe opposite direction of the arrowhead silk .

    Connect the supplied AC power adaptor to thetransmitter.

    Put the headphone on thet r a n s m i t t e r s o t h a t t h eheadphone's contact meets thet r a n s m i t t e r ' s c o n t a c t p i nwhile making sure that thecharging indicator lights in red.

    Charging is completed in about 16hours and the charging indicatorgoes off.When placing the headphones onthe transmitter, be sure to holdthem level with both hands andthat the ri ght and left housings areplaced straight down on thetransmitter, and then tilt them

    back as illustrated above.

    Do not charg e the dry battery.Do not carry a dry battery to gether with coins or othermetallic objects. It can generate heat if the positive andnegative terminals of the battery accidentally come intocontact with metallic objects.If you are not going to use the unit for a longtime,remove the battery to avoid damage from batteryleakage or corrosion.

    Notes on Batteries

    Check if the right and left headphones are rested on thetransmitter correctly. The indicator will not light up If theheadphone's contact does not meet the transmitter'scontact pin. Remove the headphones and replace them onthe transmitter again so that the indicator lights in red.

    Setting up the transmitter

    Connect the transmitter to audio/video equipment.

    NOTE: The transmitter at a frequency that may causeinterference to nearby TVs, Cordless Telephone or otherwireless systems. In such case, place the transmitter awayfrom the wireless system.

    NOTE: Use only the supplied AC power adapter. Do notuse any other AC power adapter. Connect the AC poweradapter to a continuous power supply. Place thetransmitter close the AC outlet so that you can plug the ACpower adapter easily.

    Operating the system

    To prevent your ears from being damaged, first lower thevolume of headphones.

    Before listening

    Turn on the audio/video equipmen t connected tothe transmitter.Setting the volume control of the audio sourceequipment as high as possible but not so high thatthe audio signal becomes distorted.

    Remove the headphones from the transmitter andpress the button to turn on the power oftransmitter.

    The transmitter's IN USE indicator will light in green.

    Press the channelselect button

    Turn on the power of headphone a nd put on theheadphones.

    The power ON/OFF switch is located in the rightheadphone.

    Select the frequency with the CHANNELselector button.

    Press the button on the transmitter to select the

    clearest one to provide the best possible reception.There are 10 channels to be selected.

    Press the power button

    Turn up the volume to a moderate level with thevolume UP/DOWN button.

    The effective areas of the transmitter

    Troubleshooting

    The optimum distance is up to approximately 30 feetwithout the system picking up some interference. However,the distance may vary according to the surroundings andenvironment. If the system picks up some noise whileusing it within the above mentioned distance, reduce thedistance between the transmitter unit and the headphones,or select another channel.

    When you use the headphones inside the effectiveareas of the transmitter, the transmitter can be placedin any directi on from the listener.Even within the signal reception area, there are somespots(dead spot) where the RF signal can not bereceived. This is a characteristic inherent to RF signals,and does not indicate malfunction. By slightly moving

    the transmitter, location of the dead spot can bechanged.

    NOTES:

    Turn on the transmitter f i rst , then put on theheadphones;Check the connection of the audio/video equipment orthe AC Power adapter;Check that the audio/video equipment is turned on;Turn up the volume on the connected audio/videoequipment, if the transmitter is connected to theheadphones jack;Change the channel with the CH button on thetransmitter;The headphone's POWER indicator light is weak orturned off;

    Charge the supplied rechargeable batteries or if thePOWER indicator is still off after charging thes u p p l i e d r e c h a r g e a b l e b a t t e r i e s , t a k e t h eheadphones to a COBY dealer for replacement of therechargeable battery.

    Move closer to the transmitter. As you move away fromthe transmi tter, more noise is likely to be heard;If the transmitter is connected to the headphone's jack,turn up the volume of the connected audio/videoequipment;Change the channel with the CH button on thetransmitter;The headphone's POWER indicator light is weak orturned off;

    Charge the supplied rechargeable batteries or if thePOWER indicator is still off after charging thes u p p l i e d r e c h a r g e a b l e b a t t e r i e s , t a k e t h eheadphones to a COBY dealer for replacement of therechargeable battery.

    COBY ELECTRONICS CORP. ( COBY) warrants this product to theoriginalpurchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship undernormal use for 90DAYS fromthe date of originalpurchase. COBY agreesat our option underthis warranty, to repair or replace it with a new orreconditioned product at noadditional charge. Our warranty , of course,does not cover any product which has been subject to neglect,unreasonable use, accident, violation of operating instructions, or anyproduct that has been repaired or modified byan unauthorized serviceagent.

    Coby's liability under anylegal theory for anyloss or damage inany wayrelated to this product shall in no event exceed the sales price of thisproduct.     Coupling the c ode of transmitter and headphone.

    Press the vo lume UP and DOWN bu t tonsimultaneously until you hear a low beep sound,

    press and hold the button on the transmitter ,then you will hear a higher beep sound, whichshows you are successful in coupling code.
