Presidents Publication& Editors Note
Hello wonderful Key Clubbers,
School is finally back in session!!! Hope
this summer has been amazing with many
great achievements and memories. It
definitely has for me, but most importantly I
am super excited for the upcoming year!
We have a lot of fun events and fundraisers
planned, and I am sure this year will be a
blast!
As you all may know, the new key club year
has officially started and board positions
have been filled. I dearly congratulate each
and every individual starting from the
division level, to our lieutenant governor
Amy Jiang, and our cy-falls Board. These
outstanding individuals will be leading Key
Club to great heights. Interviews for officer
positions will be held in September.
Finally, do not forget that key club is
going to be more active during the school
year than it was in the summer. We will have
regular meetings every other Wednesday.
This year will be filled with exciting events,
socials, fundraisers that will be
communicated via technology (Facebook,
Reminder 101, and Email). Please pass on
the word of Key Club to upcoming freshmen
and tell them about our Facebook page for
more information.
Yours in Service,
Sammitha Cheruvu
Hey Cy Falls!
I hope your 2024-15 school year is off to a good
start! And even if it unfortunately wasnt, I can
guarantee that joining key club will change your
high school experience for the better. Now that
school is back in session, its time for key club to
become more active. That means well be having
more events, electing new officers, and serving
our community in any way we can. Joining key
club is a definite way to insure that you make
lasting memories and friends for life. Serving othersthrough the Kiwanis organization and student
leadership creates a bond like no other. Thats
why we need as many new members as we can
get! So tell all your friends, and invite new
freshmen to join one of the most rewarding clubs
at Cypress Falls High School.
Yours in Service,
Matthew Stone

Scintillating Socials
By Stephanie Doan12, Builders Club
In between volunteering at various events, the Cypress
Falls Key Club likes to promote comradery and easy
access with all of the officers and members. The Cypress
Falls Key Club hosts many different socials that are
meant to improve relationships between all of the Key
Club members throughout the school. This is one of the
many great ways that the Cypress Falls Key Clubbers stay
connected throughout the summer. Not only do the
members provide volunteer work and service for thecommunity, but when they are at socials, they are
welcoming to everyone, even if they are not in the
Cypress Falls Key Club.
At each of the Cypress Falls Key Club socials,
people come to meet and get to know each other, all
while eating and playing fun games. Attending socials is
one of the refreshing attributes that the Cypress Falls Key
Club offers, and it all goes along with some tasty treats!
Just by watching the individual students participate in
the socials, one is able to tell that Key Club is a wonderful
club that people will truly enjoy. Immediately, one is ableto recognize the great wonders of Key Club once one
hears the joyous laughter, and see the grinning faces as
members pass their time amongst fellow Key Clubbers.
Since most of these socials are public, many are
able to see the magnificent fun that is Key Club. Not only
are the socials good for the members as a club, but the
socials also help promote Key Club to people all around.
When people see all of the happiness that the Cypress
Falls Key Club brings about, they too will want to take
part in the Key Club fun. With all of this merry going
taking place amongst the members, what is there tostop other people from joining, and volunteering and
serving their community?
After getting a taste of something assimple as a Key Club social, one will start
going to bigger events, and take a lead
in their community by serving others. Just
by taking one small step as a member o
the Cypress Falls Key Club, one will be
able to make a major difference in
someones life. Without socials, I
probably would not have any friends. No
social life. No relationships. Key club
makes up the building blocks of my life,
and it has made a major impact on me
personally.

Not Just a ClubBy Angela Lam12, Builders Club
Many people think that Key Club is JUST a club, or maybe an
organization that makes keys. I can surely tell you that Key Club ismuch more than that. It acts as a source of motivation, by giving me
opportunities to be in new situations and expand my world beyond
what I already knew. And for every opportunity that I choose to take
I have never regretted it for a single moment. All those opportunities
range from something very simplistic to things that require my
constant attention and effort, but it has never prevented me from
enjoying them. One of those moments would include the August PCM
I attended on August 29th. After having such a stressful and tiring first
week of school, I decided to try and end it off of a good note so I
called up some friends and decided to go. By that time, I had only
attended one PCM where I watched Amy get elected for LTG so Ihad no idea what to expect at an outdoor PCM. When I got there,
everyone was arranged in a circle and preparing for the first game.
watched my fellow Cypress Falls members, Dorothy and Alexis,
aimlessly wave their hands over a piece of candy in the center, with
the occasional smack to the face because they couldnt see
anything. Everyone had a smile on their face, laughing while they
watched each other try to come up with creative ways to grab the
candy without getting hit. I have to admit that my favorite technique
would be going for the candy between the legs. For some reason,
everyone in the center flails their arms everywhere but their legs don
move a single inch. Afterwards, we began two rounds of Capturethe Flag with the two shirts I provided. Even though school had
already started, it was still the highlight of my summer. Often enough
spend my days inside doing homework or going out to grab some
coffee. When we played, it reminded me of an intense game going
on during recess like when I was younger. After some intense stare
downs with the other side, our team ended up winning the game.I
have never been a loud person nor have I been into running around
with friends. This Key Club moment not only brought me out of my
own little shell, but gave me a large opportunity to meet other
people from the same division. Not only that, but after attending the
PCM, it gave me ideas and inspirations to help attract freshmen toour club and future PCMs as well. All in all, Key Club is definitely not
JUST a club.
