SKCT - FIRST YEAR ORIENTATION

The First year Orientation Programme at Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT),

conducted today was presided by our Beloved Chairperson Madam.

Dr.G.Gnanasambandam was the Chief Guest of the day. Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet

and Dr.V.Ragavi, Head of the Department, Science and Humanities participated in the

function and extended their cordial support and well wishes to the Academic

leadership team of SKCT.





REVIEW OF TEDX EVENT

Principal Madam reviewed the preparatory measures taken by the Department of

Mechatronics Engineering with Dr.T.A.Selvan, Head of the Department, Mechatronics

Engineering and the student organizers team for the TEDx event which is scheduled to

be organized on 14th September, 2019 at SKCET. TEDx is an event where Technology,

Entertainment and Design converges and covers thematic speeches in almost all topics

from science to business to global issues.





The Day 3 session on Infosys Campus Connect Webinar Series on "ABCD of IT

Foundations" was conducted today. “Different Consensus Algorithm, Block chain 2.0 -

smart contracts, Block chain 3.0- Decentralized web, Internet Evolution, Types of block

chain - public block chain, private block chain and federated block chain” were discussed.

ANTI-RAGGING AWARENESS

SESSION - EEE

Anti-Ragging Awareness Session was conducted for the students of III EEE, in continuation with

the registration and submission of Anti-Ragging Affidavits. Under this programme, various

aspects of ragging and awareness were elaborated with videos.





Dr. S. Balakrishnan, Head of the Department, CSBS convened a meeting with the

faculty members who are handling the subjects for II CSE C (TCS). The discussion was

based on the following points:

1. The outcome of the extended hour coaching given to the students.

2. Syllabus coverage for CIA-II.

3. Strategic planning for improving the pass percentage - Peer Group formation.

4. Academic Review Meeting with the parents.

5. Activity Saturday – Plan for August „19

As a counter measure taken on the CIA 1 test performance of the students, special

coaching class for the subject “Data Structure” was conducted for the II year students

by Dr. N.Susila, Head of the Department, Information Technology.

EXTENDED HOUR COACHING CLASS - IT





The department of ECE organized a session for the Third year students to enlighten

awareness about NAD registration to ensure that the academic awards are stored

permanently in a secured digital depository as well as to make the same available online

to the students.

R&D - PATENT PUBLICATION

Conjoint Patent Invention by SKCET Faculty and Students gets published

in IPR Journal of India. The Patent titled *Traffic signal controlling using dense

of the Android devices* filed by team of EEE faculty Dr.K.Lakshmi,

Mr.Guruprasath, ,Mr.Maideen Abdhulkader Jeylani, Mr.Ramesh Kumar.K and

Mr.Vignesh T(MCT) along with III EEE C sec students Mr.Udhaya Kumar,

Mr.Yuvan Raj Kumar.M and Ms.Roopa Shree is published in IPR Journal. This

adds to the 35th patent published successfully at SKCET.

INTRODUCTION TO PLACEMENT INITIATIVES – I BE EEE & ECE

Motivational Talk by Dr.Albert Raj, Dean Academics delivered a motivational talk to the

students of First year CSE, IT, CSBS, and M.Tech Virtusa.

The placement team of our college addressed the students of CSE, IT, and M.Tech on

the placement initiatives.





A Career Awareness Program by Mr. Saikiran Dudyala, Senior Manager – Operations

and Customer Engagement, BYJU'S (Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd.) was conducted for

Third year Electrical and Electronics Engineering students.

2nd Day of Induction Programme

The second day of One Week Induction Training Programme started with a full swing. The

students felt motivated and displayed confidence. They were given awareness about
