Tornado - Oklahoma Situation
▲On May 20, an EF-5 tornado moved across the city of Moore (pop. 56,315)
• Widespread, significant damage across the city of Moore
▲ No significant weather forecast in the response area
Oklahoma (Cleveland County)
▲Damage estimates from FEMA Modeling Task Force (derived from NGA data)
• Destroyed: 1,114 residential; 24 non-residential
• Damaged: 202 residential; 23 non-residential
▲Classes at Moore Public Schools are canceled for the remainder of the school year
▲24 confirmed fatalities & 237 injuries (OK SITREP)
▲Approx. 13,000 customers w/o power; restoration date unknown (DOE)
Critical Infrastructure
▲Power restored to the Draper Lake Water Treatment Plant; plant is fully operational
• Minimal impacts to oil and gas services
• Amtrak has suspended service
• 37 cell sites down but voice call & SMS volume have returned to normal
• Flight restrictions remain in effect over Moore
