What an incredible promise! If we lack wisdom all we have to do is ask God and He promises to give it to us. Hewill not scold us for asking, for He gives it out freely!

My Prayer: Jesus, I am asking You, now, for Your wisdom. You have promised that you will freely give it and Itrust in that promise!

Fear not. Worry not.. Fret not. For the Lord knows all those who are His. He will keep His children from the force ofHis wrath and ever will He protect them from their enemy, Satan. He will be faithful to tend their needs and salve

their wounds.. We who believe and have departed the way of iniquity are secured in the mercy, peace, and fatherly

love that abounds in His family.


March 2, 2011For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son [in whom] he delighteth. (Proverbs 3:12)

Because of His unconditional and passionate love for His children, God disciples and instructs His children in Hiswisdom. Indeed, it is by His unchanging and constant adoration that we are made a new creation. By the gift of

God's son and a repentant heart, the mercies of Christ enfold us and bring us to God's side. Just as a father adoreshis son, so our Heavenly Father delights in us!

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things whichGod hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

How unimaginable is the glory of God and the wealth of riches He bestows upon His Bride! Despite man's incrediblefaculty for fantasy, even at his loftiest and most creative, he cannot even begin to conceive the extent of pleasure

and glory for which God has prepared for His people. Rejoice, you redeemed, in the promise of His kingdometernal!

#8 Daily Promises


For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. (John16:27)

If you place your love and faith in the person and work of Christ Jesus, you are guaranteed the love of His Father.God does not turn away those who seek His Son. Rather, He will be faithful to reward every lover of His Son with

life eternal and every spiritual blessing! Hallelujah!


March 5, 2011The name of the LORD [is] a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10)

A tower's walls protect its inhabitants and its heights give warning of an enemy's approach. In the same way, theLord's love protects us and His grace has opened our eyes to see that Satan is our enemy. In order to use the

tower's heights and protection to our advantage, we must find ourselves within its bounds. The Lord's love andgrace stands as the strongest of towers. Trust in God. Be filled with His love and grace to overflowing. And take

shelter in the towering strength of His arms.My Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for protecting me and opening my eyes to Your salvation! Please guide me into the

protection of Your strength!


March 6, 2011Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who

comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfortwherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also

aboundeth by Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)My Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my comfort during my afflictions! Help me to give others the love and

comfort You have given me.


March 7, 2011In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee,

#15 Daily Promises


And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:7)

God gives us a peace that is able to transcend all understanding and will guard our hearts and minds in ChristJesus. Because we have been given peace with God, we are now able to experience the tranquility that He offers to

His children. This peace is the product of prayer, petition, thanksgiving, and the presentation of our requestsbefore God as it is described in the previous verse (http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-

powerful name of Christ we stand in awe of His glorious splendor.

which Abel's blood criedHis blood speaks life! And that eternal! Life everlasting is promised to all those whobelieve; so believe, rejoice, and take hold of the very promised rest of Christ!

Say among the heathen [that] the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved:

he shall judge the people righteously. (Psalms 96:10)The Lord will judge the people of the earth with all equity and justice. All men have sinned and fallen short of the

glory of God, and all men ought be judged unworthy (Romans 3:23).Fortunately though, you who are given faith in Christ are not judged for your works, for Christ has been judged in

your place! Amen!


March 16, 2011For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor

things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

My prayer: Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for Your abundant love and grace. The strong hold You have on mylife is incomprehensible! Thank You for the promise that nothing can separate me from Your love. Neither spiritual

nor physical forcesnothingwill ever be remotely able to separate me from Your love, O God, which is found inChrist Jesus, Your Son. Continue to make me appreciative of such mercy.

#22 Daily Promises


He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. (Proverbs 2:8)Take heart, O children of Abraham! The justice of God is inescapable. No fiery terror escapes His sight. No

murdering tyrant hides from His eye. No perverse malcontent might flee His presence. Those who persecute andmake martyrs of God's people will receive the end they deserve. In fact, they will receive the end that even we

deservedif they repent not. Pray for even the most wicked of your neighbours that they, like you, might find theirjustice in the blood of Christ.

#23 Daily Promises


The LORD [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7)My prayer: Lord, You are so good to Your children! You have shown us the utmost tenderness and grace as You

hold us in Your mighty hand. It is such a wonderful honor to be called Your people as we take delight in Yoursanctuary. Thank You for Your mercy and abounding love for us!

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gavehis only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:15-16)

The promise of salvation is offered to those who simply believe. Eternal life is the gift to the believer who placestheir trust in Jesus Christ, God's one and only son.

#25 Daily Promises


Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, ifthou continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

(Romans 11:22)Those who abide in the love of Christ are assured his kindness. He cares for His children, the sheep of His hand.

Never shall those whom He grants drink of the living water grow faint. So trust in the Lord. Lean upon Hisabounding grace. Abide in the life of His vine and you shall never feel the severity of God's hand!

God here promises not only His pleasure in those who look to the heavenlies rather than toward earthly treasure,but He also promises a holy and heavenly dwelling to His people. For all believers say the same: that they seek not

a homeland with foundations of stone and metal, but one made of heavenly hands.


March 23, 2011He caused the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of

the earth; (Psalms 104:14)The Lord is ever our provider! Never shall our souls stand in need of any necessity. When God's child lacks strength

in time of trouble, the Lord shall supply it. When Abraham's son is beaten down under worldly woe, his heavenlyFather shall certainly revive him. When the believer's soul is parched and dry, then shall the High King of Heaven

fill him to overflowing with rivers of living water.

#28 Daily Promises


And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)How beautiful! How simple! Amazingly, God pours forth all His mercy, love and great blessings to those who call

upon His majestic name. By placing all faith in Christ, the believer is given the ultimate promise: glorious eternitywith his Creator and Saviour. This demands praise and rejoicing to the Most High God. For He is worthy.

#29 Daily Promises


For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. (Psalms 18:27)Humble are the people of God and they will be saved! Humble are they that trust upon Christ for they have given

up hope in their own worth, power, and strength to sustain themselves. All will be saved who reject themselvesand trust upon the life, death, resurrection, ascension, and diety of Christ Jesus. They shall taste the life

everlasting!


March 26, 2011Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.. (Matthew 5:6)

Try as we might, there is no human satisfaction to be found in earthly things. No created thing can hope to fill us,to complete us. For all created things are finite in their very nature.. Yet our longing for satisfaction is infinite and

therefore can only be filled by One infinite in nature. The righteous are those who are filled by the Spirit of Godthey are, therefore, satisfied.

#31 Daily Promises


And this is the promise that he hath promised us, [even] eternal life. (1 John 2:25)God has promised us life after deathlife forever with Him. Amen!

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:5)Throughout this life, we are kept safe by the power of God. All that we are is because of the power of God. The

salvation that we have been given will never be complete until we reach heaven. We should strive towards thatcompletion with all that we are.

#33 Daily Promises


Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (James 4:10)This conditional promise can be misused by some who have ulterior motives, but when we truly humble ourselves

in the Lord's sight it can in no way be for our own lifting up. True humility would put ourselves last and that is what

makes this paradoxical truth so amazing. We cannot lift our own selves up; it is only God who is able to do thatand He only does that when we are humbled before Him. We also saw this demonstrated in Christ who "humbled

Himself to the point of deatheven the death of the cross" yet "God exalted Him" (Philippians 2:8-9).


March 30, 2011For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be

the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called,them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (Romans 8:29-30)

God chose those who would believe from the foundations of the world to be justified and glorified according to Hispurpose. Because God foreknew all things, there is nothing that can separate His children from His excellent love

and grace. Even as evil powers come against us, we are made conquerors by the justification and glorificationthrough the blood of Christ!

#35 Daily Promises


For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his nameshall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase

of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to orderit, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts

will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)By the miraculous coming of Christ, the kingdom of God was brought to man bestowing all His incredible peace and

joy. His dominion shall never fade but continue to increase in all its glory and magnificence. Simply theestablishment of His kingdom will proclaim righteousness and justice forevermore! Indeed, He is great and greatly

to be praised!


April 1, 2011The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor

the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preservethy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. (Psalms 121:5-8)

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)My Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for guiding me through all things despite my foolishness. You know all my

sorrowful ways, and yet, You continue to love me in spite of them. Father, continue to touch my heart and bringme to a right understanding of Your gracious love! Direct my steps that I may give all honour and glory to Your

name! Amen.

#40 Daily Promises


He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be lovedof my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:21)

How wonderful the assurance that God will in nowise spurn our manifest love and affection! With human lovers, wealways risk rejection, but with God, we who believe are given the certainty that all who adore Him will be adored in

return. And of course we must be so adored! We only come to love God as we do because he first loved us. Praisebe to our compassionate Father that there is no unrequited affection in His kingdom!

#41 Daily Promises


With him [is] an arm of flesh; but with us [is] the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And thepeople rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. (2 Chronicles 32:8)

In the Old Testament, the Lord always helped His people during times of war. Today, God still promises to be withus and help us fight our battlesboth physical and spiritual. This is why we are told in Ephesians 6 to put on the

armour of God. This armour is made up of the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, sandals of thepreparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit or the

Word of God. Another weapon we should use is prayer. Prayer is the way we talk to God and intercede on behalf ofothers. It is one of the most, if not the most, powerful weapon we have. Are you praying always?

#42 Daily Promises


When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. ( Isaiah

43:2)Sometimes the pressures of life threaten to overwhelm us and sweep us away like a strong river current. During

these times God continues to be with us. He does not leave us to suffer alone. He does not promise to take us outof our trials. But He does promise to be with us and guide us every step of the way! Praise be to the Lord, our

great constancy!


April 8, 2011Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy [endureth] for ever. (Psalms 136:25)

God's ever-enduring lovingkindness is one of the most beautiful jewels in that great treasure trove of Christianblessing. If not for the promise of his Father's unquenchable love, the believer would have none of the earthly rest

for his soul that is even now his great privilege. By the knowledge that God's love is forever granted the child offaith, that same child may take blissful comfort that his Lord shall never forsake him, shall never rescind the

promise of life eternal, and shall never withhold the strength needed for perseverance in times of trial. Amen andamen

the power of their God, Who is a consuming fire. Their lives are won. Their souls are assured. None may standagainst these righteous for they are the Lord's. And those for whom the Lord stands cannot be stood against!

I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: forwithout me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Apart from the sanctifying power of Christ's blood in our lives, not a single effort of ours can amount to honestgood. Recall your position in Christ Jesus. You, as a believer, are bounded up with Him. He is your holiness. He is

your resurrection. He is your baptism unto new life. Abide in your faith in Christ Jesus and let your lives ofrighteousness grow naturally from that abiding faith!

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; andI will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

(2 Corinthians 6:17-18)As Christians, we have been called out of this sinful and perverse world. Although we are in this wicked world, we

are certainly not ofit. For the Father's good pleasure alone, we have been separated from darkness that we maydo His good works. Just as we will escape from the final judgment of God unscathed, so too has the close

attachment to our Father been made unbreakable. Nothing can separate us from His love and grace!


April 14, 2011For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a

shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall. (Isaiah 25:4)The Lord God Almighty is ever our bastion and bulwark of defence. As we marshal to the fore to join battle against

our raging enemy, ever does the Lord's banner fly before us. As we take up the call to arms and muster to the fieldof our spiritual war, we take our courage in His strengthfor by Him, we are become far more than mere

conquerors.. We are children of the King and shall ever be victorious against our foe.

Our Prayer: We thank You, O God, for the pleasure You take in humbling the proud and exalting those of lowdegree. Keep us from pride. Let us not be as the wicked, who conduct themselves insolently towards You and

God has placed a seal on those who have believed in Him. This seal is the Holy Spirit which was promised and is a

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;(Philippians 1:29)

As Christians we have been given various things. Paul tells the Philippians about two of them. First, he tells themthat it has been granted to them to believe in Christ; and second, he says that it has been granted to them to

suffer for Him. Suffering does not always seem appetizing, however, there is much gained by it. Remember in themidst of your troubles that as Christ was troubled, so too will His people be troubledand our sufferings are to be

counted joy for they serve to demonstrate our unity with our Bridegroom.

darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)Walk in the light. Forsake the deeds of darkness. God has promised life to those who will put away their old lives

Truth, says that we are made free, then what iron fetter or steel prison can stifle our liberty? Why none at all!Rejoice in your freedom, O Christian, and use it to pursue the righteousness of God!

O but the power of grace in the New Covenant is great! Under the Mosaic Covenant, God's people had to cutthemselves off from the unbelieving and the foreign wife made the Israelite husband unclean (Ezra 10:2-3). Yet

now, the grace of God works so powerfully through the Christian covenant that the Lord ordains his grace willactually work through the believing spouse to the sanctification of the unbelieving!

tribulations, we will not be crushed. Our suffering will end in the glory of Jesus Christ and we will receive the crownof life. What a beautiful ending for this life! May God be glorified in our daily trials. May we seek His face and

that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:38-39)Peter talks about the gift of the Holy Spirit which is received after repentance. He then declares this gift to be a

promise and that it will remain for all generations. The gift of the Holy Spirit was given to the church on the day ofPentecost and it is still being given to Christians of today's generation. God will not revoke this promise nor refrain

from giving it to those that He calls His own.

#132 Daily Promises


But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace[was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

The King of all kings bore all of our mournful grievances and sorrows, and was afflicted for our evil transgressions.Though He was blameless and holy, Christ was beaten and crucified for our individual well-beings. Yet three days

later, Christ resurrected and declared victory over all sin and death! Death has lost its sting and the evil one hasbeen crushed for eternity. The blood of Christ has healed our iniquities and has given us abounding grace, peace,

and a tremendous hope.


July 7, 2011The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25)

Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Himand He will make your path straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trust God. He is infinitely able to provide your needs.

Entrust your path to His mighty hands. He shall always protect you from the snares of the enemy. By His strengthyou are made much more than conquerors! Fear not, for He is infinitely better than your fears!

Why none at all! There is no foe so great or force so terrifying as to hold any sway over the Son of God! Takecomfort in the strength of His arm and know to a certainty that if He is for you, then, truly, none can be against

that is not an end which we should fear. We ought look forward to the heavenly consummation of our liveswhenat long last we will be truly free from famishment. When at long last we will no longer hold to the promises of

unshakable victory by faith alone, but will apprehend such by unfettered sight! O come Lord Jesus, come!
