I.THE LOVE OF VIOLENCE

Psalm 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one

who loves violence His soul hates.

II. THE LOVE OF EVIL

Psalm 52:2-3 Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. (3) You love evil more than

good, Lying rather than speaking righteousness.

III. THE LOVE OF DEVOURING WORDS

Psalm 52:4-5 You love all devouring words, You deceitful tongue. (5) God shall likewise destroy you forever; He

shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, And uproot you from

the land of the living.

IV. THE LOVE OF CURSING

Psalm 109:17-19 As he loved cursing, so let it come to him; As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him. (18)

As he clothed himself with cursing as with his garment, So let it enter his body like water, And like oil into his bones. (19)

Let it be to him like the garment which covers him, And for a belt with which he

girds himself continually.

V. THE LOVE OF SIMPLICITY

Proverbs 1:22 "How long, you simple ones (ignorant), will you love simplicity?

For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.

VI. THE LOVE OF TRANSGRESSION AND STRIFE

Proverbs 17:19 He who loves transgression loves strife, And he who

exalts his gate seeks destruction.

VII. THE LOVE OF PLEASURE

Proverbs 21:17a He who loves pleasure will be a poor man;

VII. THE LOVE OF WINE AND OIL

Proverbs 21:17b He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.

VIII. THE LOVE OF SILVER AND ABUNDANCE

Ecclesiastes 5:10-11 He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity. (11) When goods

increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to

see them with their eyes?

C. Are you ready to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength? Mark 12:30
