who he tempts. Thisdoes not place him

Friends our first and highest duty is

to know what is truth. Jesus declares

that He is the way the truth and the

life (Jn. 14:16). In addition, the life of

Christ is eternal by nature and we

have this life only as we abide in

Christ the living truth through HisWord (Jn. 15:4-7, 10; Jn. 17:3).

Friends, in reviewing the few quotations from

the previous slides, I am ashamed of myself

for I have not yet walked in the shadow of

The Desire of Ages (Jesus Christ). But by HisGrace He will through us accomplish

everything we have just read. Moreover He

will accomplish even greater. Why not read

the book? There are lots more about Jesus. Why not read the book of John. Why not

hand over your all to Him?

Jesus is the One who brought

Daniel and his companion into favorwith the eunuch in charge. It was

For the first time in the book of

Daniel, Jesus is present in person.

He is working out His purpose for Hischildren. This purpose is made

manifest in His stance beside them in

their dilemma, thus saving them. In

so doing He makes apparent His

chief purpose for all mankind-He

greatly desire to save all from the

penalty of sin and the judgments of

their persecutors. Jesus always make

manifest His very presence at the

very moment when we need Him the

very most.

The title Nebuchadnezzar applied

to the forth person in the fiery

furnace is “The Son of God”. How

did he know it was the Son of

God? Daniel must have had bible

study with the king one could

assume. But we need not assume

anything for only our Lord andSavior Jesus Christ practice the

art and has the skills of saving His

children. See Isaiah 33:22; Luke

2:11; Acts. 5:31; Matt. 1:21.

Jesus takes note in detail of

our every actions. He is theUltimate Watcher of Daniel

4. Should we compare

Daniel 4:24 with 4:17 it is

clear that the decree is

clearly that of the Most

High God and the angels

are His instruments in

proclaiming His decree,

decision and command.

His angel is a term which applies

to Gabriel. Jesus’ angel is Gabriel.

That is, the angel who is closestto Him in heaven. Jesus created

all things Col. 1:16-17 including

angels. We will look at this in

more detail in future studies.

Suffice it to say that Gabriel wascommissioned by our Lord to

protect, care and deliver Daniel.

Michael that stand up for

Michael.

“For the Lord himself

shall descend from

heaven with a shout,

with the voice of thearchangel, and with

the trump of God: and

the dead in Christ

shall rise first:”

“For as the Father hath

life in himself; so hath

he given to the Son to

have life in himself . … Marvel not at this: for

the hour is coming, in

the which all that are

So you thought Jesus wasn’t in

every chapter of Daniel?Jesus is in every chapter of Daniel. Every

theme revolves around Him. Every narration

revolves around Him. And every prophecyrevolves around Him. If the themes,

narrations and prophecies did not revolve

around Jesus Christ, then the study would not be worthwhile. For by beholding Jesus we

become change into His likeness. 2 Cor. 3:18

Page 44: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 44/55

There will be moments in our study that will really evoke emotional instability. The

cruelty of world powers against God’s people are not so nice to read from the pages

of history.

Page 45: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 45/55

In fact history will repeat itself and the present

world powers will make certain of this fact. To know

before hand what will happen to those of us who

hold true to His Word is good. In fact it is very good, and because of this we can make preparation to face

the final onslaughts of Satan’s wrath.

Page 46: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 46/55

But what is of paramount importance is the

philosophy of the book of Daniel. Unlike the gloomy

picture I have just painted and showed, the

philosophy gives Hope and rekindles Faith in ouromnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent Lord and

Savoir Jesus Christ.

So what exactly is the philosophy of the book of Daniel and all prophetic books including the book of

Revelation?

Page 47: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 47/55

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of

heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be

destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to

other people, but it shall break in pieces and

consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for

ever.” Daniel 2:44

In essence the destruction of all forms of World Orders

and the establishment of  God’s Kingdom which stand

for ever is the philosophy of prophecy. In a nutshell, the

 philosophy of Daniel is,

Will you be on the Lord’s side or the

enemy’s side?

Page 48: Daniel Introduction 3

Point of Importance

The paramount aim in any Bible study is to

locate Christ and improve our relationship

with Him through His Grace.

Head Knowledge is good, but a relationship

with Jesus is the most important feature of

any Bible study.

Our highest duty is to know what is Truthand Jesus is Truth.

Page 49: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 49/55

Point of Importance

Daniel 1-Jesus is responsible for bringing us

into favour with those whom we come in

contact with on a daily basis.

Daniel 2-Christ is that Rock which all must

very most.

Page 50: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 50/55

Point of Importance

Daniel 4-Jesus is the Great Watcher. It is

always His desire to care for us. Whenever

pride takes the place of humility, then He set

us on a detoxification programme to purge

us. During the purging His character is

meticulously inscribed on the tables of our

hearts. But that is if we desire Him to take

full control

Daniel 5-Christ has allotted a probationary

period on every person. If we pass the point

of no return, then we are responsible for

closing our own probation. All that Jesus

does is simply ratify our decision.

Page 51: Daniel Introduction 3

8/2/2019 Daniel Introduction 3

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/daniel-introduction-3 51/55

Point of Importance

Daniel 6-Whenever evil men passes laws to

detract from God to themselves, Jesus will

send angels that excel in strength to protect

us at the very time we need such protection.

Daniel 7- Jesus the Son of Man comes to the

Ancient of days in Judgement to vindicate,

deliver and restore His children.

Daniel 8- Jesus is the one who cleanse the

heavenly sanctuary. But are we willing to be

cleansed by His refining fire?

Page 52: Daniel Introduction 3

Point of Importance

Daniel 9- Jesus is the Messiah who died, is

now alive through the resurrection power

and make intercession on our behalf.

Daniel 10-Jesus is the Man in Linen who stills

command angels and reveal the future of

what will befall the people of God-We win

because Jesus abides in us and we in Him.
