Goal:

Mobilize the knowledge and skill of radio amateurs in support of Emcomm

They try to do so by organising drills, trainings and certification of Emcomm participants.

The Dutch Radio Amateurs:

There are about 13.000 hams in The Netherlands, from with we think more or less 50 % active.

We have about 500 participants who volunteered for training and certification.

Why an organisation? To prevent that 10,000 hams, meaning well, run in to one and other ‘DARES organised her participants regionally, like the government. Both national and international we focus the communication needs to wat is needed by government and other parties.

What can DARES offer as a civilian party?

Speech communication

Equipment

Personal things like warm/rain clothes,papers,medication, coins, energy bars, a bottle of water, toilet paper etc.

Paperwork like, handbook, logbook, message forms, a little stapler, tape, pens, DARES banners, repeaterlists, etc

Tools and small material

Technical accesoires, a small mast, coax, dualband antenna, rope, ty-wraps, 12V en 230V extension cords etc

And........oh yes.......one or more rigs with accesoires
