• This process is known as digitising• For example voice recording • What are the benefits of the digital form?• Describe what is digitising. Explain how it works. (Give at least 1 example)• Class activity -> have a go at digitising (OCR)

Data forms – Digital to analogue

• Why?• So we can interact with the data in the physical world

• Sound -> speakers• Video -> analogue monitors

• So other analogue devices can interact with digital devices• For instance, a modem• Outline a basic diagram that explains how a modem

works. Use a graphics software program.

• Complete questions 1-6 on data forms• Ensure you have completed the whole worksheet• Your worksheet must be submitted to the

dropbox folder on Thursday 5/5/2011 (10IST H3) or Friday 6/5/2011 (10IST F1) by the START of the lesson.
