LIST OF VESSELS THAT HA VE SUBMITTED A MARITIME HEAVY WEATHER AND HURRICANE PLAN APPLICATION
PURSUANT TO SENATE RESOLUTION (S.R.) NO. 102, S.D.1 30TH STATE LEGISLATURE
I. PURPOSE OF REPORT
This report is prepared and submitted pursuant to the provisions of Senate Resolution (S.R.) No. 102, S.D. 1, 301
h Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2019. S.R. No. 102 urges the Harbors Division of the Department of Transportation to inform the maritime community of the procedures to be taken in preparation of a storm and assist with their application for a maritime heavy weather and hurricane plan. The resolution requests that the Harbors Division of the Department of Transportation inform and assist the maritime community with heavy weather and hurricane plan applications, conduct informational meetings, and submit a report to the Legislature on vessels that have submitted applications:
"BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Thirtieth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2019,that the Harbors Division of the Department of Transportation is requested to inform the maritime community about its heavy weather and hurricane plan and make every effort to assist the maritime community in fulfilling the necessary procedures to submit a complete application for a heavy weather and hurricane plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbors Division is requested to conduct informational meetings on the islands of Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu to inform the maritime community of the necessary procedures to be taken in preparation of a storm; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbors Division is requested to submit a list of vessels that have submitted a maritime heavy weather and hurricane plan application to the Legislature no later than twenty

days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2020"
II. INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS
On June 14, 2019, the Deputy Director of the Harbors Division received the certified copy of S.R. No. 102, S.D. l, regarding the Legislature' s request to conduct informational meetings on the islands of Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu to inform the maritime community of the necessary procedures to be taken in preparation of a storm. Please be informed that the Harbors Division joined the United States Coast Guard in conducting informational meetings on the islands of Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu as follows:

S.R. No. 102, S.D.1, also requested a list of vessels that have submitted a maritime heavy weather and hurricane plan application.
