The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO)

The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) was established in 1961 as a specialized organization of the League of Arab States to shoulder the responsibility of administrative development in the Arab region. As stated in its establishment agreement, the mission of ARADO is to contribute to the administrative development in the Arab countries in such a way as serving comprehensive development

22 member states of ARADO. The scope of ARADO services also extend to include governmental organizations, public enterprise associations, private sector and the three levels of administrative leaderships, namely supervisory, mediatory and executive leaders.

Conference Overview:The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) continues to support and

develop public relations and communication systems in the Arab region through organizing the Third Arab Public Relations Conference, during which ARADO will highlight success stories and present the most significant Arab and international practices in the field of Public Relations.Having raised the issue of “Dialogue Transparency and the Future of International PR” in the first conference held in Sharm El Sheikh in 2013, ARADO continued focusing on the theme of “Dialogue Management through Cultural Diversity in the World “, during the second conference held in Vienna in 2014. The Conference in its third version will discuss “The New Horizons of Communication in a Changing Arab World.”

Dr. Nasser Ali J. Alqahtani

Director General, Conference Chair, ARADO

H. E. Dr. Václav Klaus Former President of the Czech RepublicAn academic economist by training, he was forced out of the Academy

of Sciences after the Soviet invasion of what was then Czechoslovakia

in 1968, after the Prague Spring era. He returned back after the so-

called ‘Velvet Revolution’ of 1989, as one of the founders of the Civic

Forum Movement. He was the country’s first non-Communist Finance

Minister and served from 1992 to 1997 as Prime Minister of the Czech

Republic. From 2003 to 2013, he was the country’s President, and now

runs a free market think-tank in Prague, called Václav Klaus Institute.

He is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society and Distinguished Senior

Fellow of CATO Institute.

H.E. Mr. Mohamed AlorabiMember of the Foreign Relations Committee, The Egyptian Parliament, EgyptOrabi is a former Aambassador to Germany, and worked at the

Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait, London, Washington and Tel Aviv.

He also served as Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and

International Economic Relations and International Cooperation,

served as the national coordinator of the Arab Economic Summit II in

January 2011, and as foreign minister in June 27, 2011. He resigned

on July 16.

After his resignation from the Foreign Ministry, Mr. Orabi joined the

Party, for which Mr. Amr Moussa, former Secretary of the Arab League,

was President until his resignation on May 31, 2014.

Mr. H. E. Amre Moussa Former Secretary-General of the Arab League

Permanent Representative of Egypt to the U.N (1990-1991), Foreign

Minister of Egypt (1991-2001), Secretary General of the League of

Arab States, (2001-2011).

Moussa ran for President of Egypt after the 25th of January Revolution,

then was elected in the Constitutional Committee 2012 and led the

Liberal members’ efforts for a more liberal Constitution.

Moussa awarded several orders and decorations Egypt, Jordan, Qatar,

Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Ecuador.

Mr. Gianni Catalfamo

Co-Chair of the World Communication Forum (WCF) and Founder

of cc: Catalfamo (Italy)

Gianni Catalfamo is the Founder of cc:catalfamo and functions as one

of the most popular bloggers in Italy and globally. He has acted as

Chairman of Pleon, Italy. He is Web 2.0 evangelist formerly involved

with Pleon Europe, while he was the co-leader of their European

Technology Practice. Catalfamo was active as International Account

Director for some of Pleon’s largest technology clients. He led the IBM

Account for Europe for four years and is currently European Account

Director for Lenovo. His client teams benefit from his role as executive

coach and communications strategy advisor.

Prior to joining Pleon, Catalfamo founded, in 1986, the Italian

operation of Lotus Development Corp., setting up the first Lotus office

in Milan. During his tenure with Lotus, the Milan office grew from two

employees and USD 700,000 in sales to 35 employees and over USD

10 million in sales. He also gained valuable field experience at Olivetti,

where he spent two years in sales and marketing in the finance sector,

and at IBM, where he started his career as a Systems Engineer.

Catalfamo graduated in 1981 in Nuclear Engineering from Milan’s

Polytechnic, after a humanistic background in classical letters. He has

served as board member in several technology associations such as

Assintel and FED.

Mr. Rob Brown

President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR),UK

Rob Brown is the President of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Public

Relations (CIPR), the largest member organization for PR practitioners

outside of North America. He is author of the best-selling ‘Public

Relations and the Social Web’ (Kogan Page). He is also founder of the

PR and Communications agency Rule 5 working with global brands

such as Wedgwood, Brother and Nissan. Rob is listed in the PR Week

Powerbook 2008-2016 and the Global Powerbook 2016.

Mr. Philipp Schulmeister

Adviser in the Cabinet of the Secretary General, European Parliament

Phillip worked for 12 years as Press and Communications Advisor

at EPP Group in the European Parliament then he worked as Policy

Advisor at EPP Group in the European Parliament.

For more than two years and currently he is a Member of the Office

of the Secretary General of the European Parliament.

Dr. Lisa Pilgram

Senior Project Manager for the Strategic Research Area International

Development and Inclusive Innovation , Open University, UK

Lisa joined the university as Senior Project Manager of the Oecumene:

Citizenship after Orientalism research project in July 2010. In October

2010 she also started her PhD on British-Muslim family law as a site

of citizenship. Before joining the Open University, Lisa worked at the

University of Edinburgh Law School as Research Fellow of the EUDO

Citizenship project on access to citizenship in Europe. During her

undergraduate studies in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (University

of Vienna), she developed a strong interest in migration issues.

Pilgram thus joined a post-graduate programme on Migration and

Ethnic Minority Law (SOAS) where she focused her research on UK and

European law on family reunification, migration and citizenship, as well

as on legal issues affecting Muslim communities in Europe.
