• 7 Days, 7 Nights
• Leave the FRIDAY evening (2 days) after Culmination
• Return evening FRIDAY, July 2nd
Itinerary
• DC
• New York City
• Boston
Not a ‘Vacation’
Not a luxury vacation
we tour from 8 am to 9 pm
Like a Field Trip
- Much like Yosemite, except June will be warmer
Red-eye Flight
we sleep on the plane Friday night
Start touring before 8am
Typical 1st Day
• 6am Breakfast – Union Station• Visit National Zoo• Tour Embassy Row, National Cathedral• Arlington National Cemetery
– 4 of our students participate in wreath laying ceremony• Lunch • WWII Memorial• Vietnam Memorial• FDR Memorial• Air Force Memorial• Dinner• 8pm check into hotel

Eligibility
• Meet culmination requirements
• Combination of 1st come 1st serve and cooperation marks
3-Tier Eligibility
• First Tier: No U’s in Cooperation, in order deposits received by October 23rd, 2009
• Second Tier: 1 U in Cooperation, in order deposits received by October 23rd, 2009
• Third Tier: 2 U’s in Cooperation, in order deposits
Causes of Ineligibility
• Not Culminating
• More than 2 U’s in Cooperation
• Suspension
Those who do become ineligible
• Placed on bottom of list
Refunds
• Can purchase Cancellation Insurance – for full refund less cost– trip home in an emergency– lost or damaged luggage reimbursement– read GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Emergency Data Sheet
• Sent by New Century Tours– Extras available, just ask
• Must be notarized and turned into to me by Open House
BehaviorTHREE STRIKES, YOU’RE OUT! Policy
– 1st Strike: Warning & Trash Pick-up or “Last-in-line” for rest of day
– 2nd Strike: Call home, Trash Pick-up & “Last-in-line” for a full day
– 3rd Strike: Sent home on next available flight at your parents expense
Some infractions count as 3-strikes, for example: causing harm or injury to anyone; inappropriate contact/touching; drugs or alcohol; stealing; being in the room assigned to the opposite sex; etc.
Security guards – first time s/he will knock on your door as a warning, the second time s/he will bring the tour leader – if we are woken you will not be happy!
All teacher/chaperones are to be obeyed at ALL times – a respectful attitude will be used at ALL times
Group Togetherness
• No one is ever alone – BUDDY SYSTEM!– Anyone wandering off on their own will be
given a ‘strike’
• Be punctual – we have many scheduled tours
• Stay together – follow your leader, not any other group
• Room leaders check in for attendance
Electronic Devices
• No calling or texting from the time we leave the hotel until the time we return
• Phones will be confiscated if used during this time
• ipods, MP3’s, and games will be confiscated for day (or 2) if used during tours, including bus tours
Last/Next Parent Meeting
• Immediately after culmination– Luggage tags– Wrist bands– Final flight schedule
