A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
I hope everyone could
attend The Green
Industry Professional
Field Day at American
University on July 20th.
It was another hot day
filled with great speak-
ers covering many
different topics. Thank you to
everyone who helped put this event
together.
On July 17th, Marco Antonio Paredes
(Arlington County Dept. of Parks and
Rec) represented our branch at The
Day of Renewal and Remembrance
at Arlington National Cemetery.
Thank you, Marco, I know you had a
great experience out there with other
professionals from all around the
country.
Our next meeting is on August 3rd at
WAREDACA Brewing Company in
Laytonsville, MD. This is going to be
a great meeting at a beautiful
location, with some great beers to try
while you are there. There will be a
presentation by Jessica Snyder on
growing hops and infusing herbs at
the brewery. So, if you are not going
to be on vacation (like I am) I hope
you will be able to attend this
meeting.
Our next board meeting is scheduled
for August 10th at the Chevy Chase
Club. All members are welcome to
attend.
Hope everyone is staying cool and
enjoying their summer. Have a great

Responsibilities include: Oversight of 21 employees, 16 union and 5 non-union Budget responsibilities just over $1 Million Responsible for all basic landscape practices including but not limited to mowing, mulching, planting, long range planning, snow removal, product purchases, plant selections, selection and management of contracted services, general knowledge of interior pest control helpful but not necessary. Client Relationship - Identify client needs and communicate operational progress. Deliver and model WEST (Aramark customer service tool) as foun-
dation for excellent customer service.
Financial Performance - Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L or client budget statements. Deliver client and company financial tar-
gets. Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to im-
prove margins
Additional Responsibilities: Manage the supervision of the grounds operations and improvement initiatives including, but not limited to, landscaping, tree and shrub removal, flowers
and fauna, and snow removal.
Qualifications: Requires at least 2 years experience and 0-2 years in a management role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
