Principals Report
It is with some sadness
that we say goodbye to
our 2015 graduates. We
have all had a great
year together and are
confident that they will
all achieve their goals.
Congratulations and we
hope to hear great
things in the future.
On behalf of Gaye and
myself I would like to
thank our dedicated
staff for all their hard
work this year. 2015 has been a big year and as always our team puts their hand up
to assist and give much more than they are required to. The children of Haddon are
fortunate to have such a dynamic team.
To all our families I would like
to wish you all a very Happy
Christmas
and a Prosperous and Safe New
Year.
We look forward to 2016, more
hard work ahead and don’t forget
the Concert is coming!!
Principal’s Report
Uniting Care Ballarat would like to express their thanks for
the Christmas toys donated by our students.
This year is a high demand for them, which flags how many of
our local families are doing it tuff this Christmas.
Both Adam and Naomi were overwhelmed by the generosity
and it took several trips to the van to load them up. We
received 200 gifts for donation.
Our Kids giving Kids (KK) program commenced last year and
gauging the enthusiasm will continue in 2016.
WELL DONE HADDON.

The Haddon PS Shopping Tour has been a magnificent fundraiser for the school over the years and has
raised thousands of dollars towards resources for our children. This year’s shopping tour topped the
$2 000 mark. Deanne and Peter Kay took on the organisation of the shopping tour over 12 years ago and
their drive and enthusiasm has made this a successful annual event. We would like to thank Peter and
Deanne for their efforts which have certainly been appreciated. We wish them well for the future, as their
youngest daughter Bella moves onto secondary school.
Foundation- Year 6 Swimming Term 1 2016

School Council News
It is with great pleasure that we announce, that due to the positive response of families we are now able to host a senior
swimming program. For the past few years we have had poor numbers which prevented us from providing a viable program.
Staff and Council are very pleased at the 2016 response as we are all of the belief that swimming in Australia is a critical life
skill.
Our Christmas party day that has been sponsored by School Council was a great success. We had our traditional helpers
attend to cook up a storm and it was good to be able to host an event which was at no cost.
Our Community Relations team are now looking at ideas for next year and hope to build on the 2015 success.
At our December meeting we said thank you and fare well to Lesley Grant, our president. Lesley has served on School
Council for 14 years and steered us through many financial challenge as treasurer. We now remain in a strong financial posi-
tion moving forward and her work is done!
I would like to thank Lesley for this dedicated service and loyalty to Haddon School.
