WOF Times provides its readers with relevant and current

information pertinent to the Christian walk and lifestyle. The

WOF Times staff will make every effort to provide material

which is educational, entertaining, encouraging and inspiring.

All of this is done in an effort to assist WOF Times readers in

developing a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

During this season, survey your own

life and make a list of things for which

you are thankful. Maybe it is the small

favor a friend did for you, the house

you live in, a loved one who phoned to

see how you are, a Bible study group

you're active in, the ability to walk, or

the opportunity to worship freely each

week in God's house. Take some time to

thank the Lord for His blessings and at

least one person who has blessed your

life this year.

THIS IS a new season! More is changing than

Excerpts from Bishop Bronner’s book,

“Change Your Trajectory”

In this book, I’m going to help you fully grasp the

meaning of this simple fact: Change is occurring. It

is constant change, all-encompassing change, with a

variety of effects. It’s like the shore of the sea – eve-

ry time something from the deep washes in, some-

thing else is washing back out.

We can often feel that we ourselves are being

swept up and carried off by those tidal movements.

Sometimes God is bringing you to the forefront, and

it’s like He’s saying, “It’s your time! It’s your time1

it’s your time!” In other seasons, aspects of our lives

that have been on the forefront are being washed

back out, and we can hear the voice sounding,

“Time’s up! Time’s up! Time’s up!”

Perhaps you’ve been frustrated and feeling unable

to move forward. You’ve been sitting back watching

others get blessed with new houses, new husbands,

new wives, new jobs, new titles, new positions;

you’ve seen them live their dream and so their thing,

and you’ve wondered, Lord, when will my time

come? You’ve been watching folks playing the dou-

ble-dutch game of life, jumping rope and having all

the fun. Laughing and giggling and carrying on while

you stand back and wait. Maybe you even got tired

of waiting and tried to jump into the action- only to

get tangled in the ropes, because it just wasn’t your

time.

But I assure you and declare to you that in the ebb

and flow of all that God is doing, things are getting

ready to change!

And that will mean a new trajectory for us. You

can trust God to reposition you at the right place at

the right time. Every time that something comes in,

something is washing back out. Even if you have

been disadvantaged because of something, or side-

tracked by something, your time is coming when you

will be brought to the forefront. Your song is about

to sound forth, even as the songs of others grow si-

lent. Some who are unknown now will be brought

into prominence; others who currently are in high

standing will soon fade into obscurity. This is God’s

doing, for “He puts down one, and exalts another”

(Psalm 75:7). God raises up some even while He

suppresses others.

Some things are getting ready to trade places, and

not by your brains or your manipulation. Just remem-

ber that, as we talk about change. It doesn’t have to

be bad, and it all happens because of the Lord. There

are many more things that are getting ready to

change now-but it is always the same God who will

be glorified.

Sometimes when we’re in a time of change, when

we’re ebbing out, we think God may have taken a

little vacation – gone for a walk, or forgotten to

check up on us. Well, let me give you this word of

comfort: Even if you don’t see it, God is in the midst

of change. Look at Jacob waking up after a time of

wrestling with the Lord: “Then Jacob awoke from

his sleep and said, ‘Surely the Lord is in this

place…’”

Here’s the catch: “…and I did not know it”

(Genesis 28:16).

Surely God is in this place, and I did not know it.

Some of you are in a frightening place in your life

right now, and God is in that place with you. It’s a

difficult place. It’s an uncomfortable place. It doesn’t

look like God, and it doesn’t feel like God, but God is

in that place with you.

He’s in your place of brokenness. He’s in your

place of sickness. He’s in your place of divorce. He’s

in your place of being laid off of your job. He’s in

your place of being done wrong. You might wonder,

God, why would You let accidents happen to me? Why

would You let me deal with stuff that I don’t feel like I

can handle by myself? But God is surely in that place,

even if, like Jacob, you didn’t know it! You didn’t

realize that He was guiding your footsteps – that He is

still guiding your feet!

If you make your bed in hell, God says, “I’m

there.” If you take wings and fly to the uttermost parts

of the sea, God says, “I’m there.” Even when dark-

ness is encamped round about you, even there shall

God’s right hand lead you and guide you. (See Psalm

139.)

God is saying to you, “I’ll never leave you nor for-

sake you. I’ll come in your trouble with you. I’ll come

in your sickness with you. I’ll come in you affliction

and your persecution. I’ll come in there with you. I’ll

come in the times when you don’t feel like you can

handle it. I will come into your loneliness and into

your isolation with you. I’ll come into your broken-

ness and your contrition. I’ll come in there with you.”

You may be in places of bewilderment. You may

be in places of frustration. You may be in places of

confusion. You may be in places of lack. But don’t

you dare think that you can go somewhere that God is

not. I’m here to tell you that in the same way that this

precious man Jacob didn’t realize God’s presence un-

til he woke you, so some of you have fallen asleep –

but you are waking out of your slumber now. God is

shaking things to wake you up, and when you wake

up, you are going to realize that the hand of the Lord

was with you all the while.

You’ll think that God is judging you, and you will

think that He has rejected you and that God is angry

with you, but I’ve got news for you: He loves you. He

loves you. You are the apple pf His eye, he has so

much in store for you, and He alone can give you the

power to act!

So what do we do about all this change? Whether

we’re in an ebb or in a flow, how do we adjust and

respond? How do we make our way through all this

incredible shifting and uncertainty?

The first thing I want you to be aware of is that you

can have joy in this journey. Yes, there will be many

challenges and surprises and hardships. But it’s going

to be an incredible journey. Thank God for that!

Second, in these pages you’ll encounter many

things that can bless your life and give you wisdom

for this journey through change. I want to help you

make the rest of your life better.

Now it’s true that the best part of your life comes

only when you leave this life. God reserves the best

for last. When you work for the Lord as a soldier in

the army of the Lord down here on this earth, His re-

tirement package is out of this world! It really is! But

I also want you to realize that if you learn

right now how to place yourself on a cer-

tain trajectory of doing things in a certain

way – as the Spirit of God is in the pro-

cess of shifting all of us in so many areas

– then you’ll also have the opportunity to

experience His blessing in so many

realms of life in the remaining time He

gives you on this earth.

So let’s place ourselves on a new tra-

jectory.

In Love Pastor Kirstie Alexandra Bronner became Mrs. Kyle

Anthony Foley on Saturday, October 26, 2015 at the

WOF Cathedral in a spectacular ceremony officiated by

her father, Bishop Dale C. Bronner.

New husband, Kyle, is also an identical twin. He and

his twin brother, Gavin, are pilots in the U.S. Air Force.

It’s not hard to guess that Kirstie’s twin sister, Pastor

Kristie Bronner and Kyle’s twin brother, Gavin, served

as the Maid of Honor and Best Man, respectively. Kirst-

ie’s two sisters; Dalina Phelps, Neiel Zimbron and

brother, Dale were a part of the wedding party as well.

The WOF Ignite Worship Team and Ignite Band minis-

tered the song, “Beautiful Love.” After the pronounce-

ment of the newly united couple, the bride and groom

led the recessional with a soulful strut!

A private reception was held in the Fellowship Hall.

So happy and in love, the Foleys honeymooned at the

Zabuca Honeymoon Villa in Dominica, West Indies,

where they had their own private chef, private infinity

pool and a view of the mountains and the Caribbean

Sea!

“And the two shall become one flesh…”

andria “Missy” Smith, who is presently working in the mis-

The righteous will flourish

like a palm tree, they will

grow like a cedar of Lebanon;

planted on the house of the

Lord, they will flourish in the

courts of our God. They will

still bear fruit in old age, they

will stay fresh and green, pro-

claiming, The Lord is upright;

He is my Rock and there is no

wickedness in Him.

Psalm 92:12-15

E mma J. Rowland was born in Omaha, GA,

the seventh of nine siblings. At age 6, she

experienced the death of her mother and

was sent to live with her beloved grandmother. It

was there at the age of 7, she became an avid read-

er, by the light of an oil lamp. This was the start of

her love for the Word of God.

Early in life, she married Jim Pope and to that

union was born two sons, Jim and Homer and one

daughter, Vera. She later wed George Rowland

and they remained together for 32 years, until his

passing.

Happy Divine 99, Mother Rowland At age 37, Mother Rowland was called

into the ministry, however, she was denied

the opportunity to preach because she was a

female. Knowing without a shadow of doubt,

her call from God, she began to teach wom-

en. Later, she became certified through the

Institute of Biblical Studies, under the lead-

ership of Dr. Jerry Falwell. Now, certified as

a graduate of Biblical Studies and Advanced

Study Prophecies, she was ordained by Bish-

op Dale C. Bronner in 2003. Presently,

Mother teaches the Women’s Daily Walk

Ministry on Tuesday evenings,7-9 PM (room

122) and Women of Acts Sunday School

class.

When she is not studying the Word of

God, she enjoys gardening, sewing, cooking

and spending time with her grand and great

grandchildren.

Mother Rowland’s birthday was celebrat-

ed on October 10th at the Riverside EpiCen-

ter. The grand affair included: a red carpet,

proclamation from Atlanta Mayor Kasim

Reed, ministry in music and the release of a

book entitled, “Her Children Rise Up and

Call Her Blessed” written by her grandchil-

dren. In addition, a scholarship was created

in her name to be presented to a young lady

with a desire to learn and to teach God’s

word through missionary work.

Continue to be blessed, Mother Rowland

and to celebrate God’s amazing grace.

Discipleship Groups are coming to Word of Faith

Family Worship Cathedral. Bishop Bronner has

“Cast the Vision” for the Discipleship Groups Minis-

try (DGM) and the historic process has begun.

The first phase of building “Life Changing” Small

Groups began Saturday Sept. 19th, as 125 Covenant

Members of (WOF) started the orientation process

for the 16-months of Group Leader Training. We had

a wonderful Meet & Greet session in the Fellowship

Hall followed by an information session, Leader

Consecration and Training Orientation. The Leaders

“In-Training” will have 8 additional classroom ses-

sions facilitated by our Pastoral Staff. The classroom

courses are titled: “Think Life Change”, “Cultivate

Relationships”, “Promote Participation” ,“Multiply

Influence”, “Replace Yourself”, “Confidentiality/

Authenticity” and “Purpose Driven Small Groups”.

After the Group Leaders are trained extensively in

the classroom, they will begin their twelve month

Prototype Group Training in 2016. The leaders will

be divided into 11 Prototype Groups where they will

meet twice a month and begin the actual Discipleship

Group Process. There will be three trainings per

quarter for all the leaders. In December 2016, as they

graduate, Bishop Bronner will consecrate them to

begin their Congregational Groups in February of

2017.

How will you know if Discipleship Groups are for

you? We have developed a model called, “First

Steps” to assist you in the transition to small group

ministry. “First Steps” is a group environment

where you share with other Christians like yourself,

learn about prayer and learn to prioritize the im-

portant things in the Christian walk. “First Steps”

will allow you to explore the tenets and commitment

needed to participate in Discipleship Group Minis-

try. In “First Steps” you will have a 2-hour sum-

mary and overview of what “Small Group Life” will

be like. You will also get an understanding of the ex-

pectations for the Congregational Phase of the Disci-

pleship Groups Ministry. After you experience this 2-

hour workshop and learn the benefits of small group

life at WOF, members will know that “Small Group

Life” is a wonderful option for them.

“First Steps” will be offered in January

2017. WOF will launch the congregational phase of

Discipleship Groups Ministry in February 2017. The

Discipleship Groups Ministry initiative is an exciting

way to make a big church seem small.

We ask your prayers as we trust God to lead us

into this “Historic Work” at WOF!

As followers of Christ, it is our duty to adhere to the

Great Commission. Christ commands us to Go ye

and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).

Institute which is

being housed at the Bluffs location.

Ministers in Training (M.I.T.)

Y ou might be asking yourself what is M.I.T.?

M.I.T. is an acronym for Ministers in

Training. Ministers in Training is an

accredited training program

offered here at Word of Faith

Family Worship Cathedral. The

first class started in March 2015

and consisted of 41 students.

These students are pursuing a

Certificate in Ministry over the course of 16 months.

The certificate program focuses on preparing

students to be 21st century church leaders. Students

pursuing certificates will receive their ministerial

license.

1 Memory loss that disrupts daily life One of the most common signs of Alzheimer’s

disease is memory loss, especially forgetting

recently learned information. Others include

forgetting important dates or events; asking for the

same information over and over again; needing to

rely on memory aids or family members for things

they used to handle on their own.

2 Challenges in planning or solving problems Some people may experience changes in their ability

to develop and follow a plan or work with numbers.

They may have trouble following a familiar recipe

or keeping track of monthly bills. They may have

difficulty concentrating and take much longer to do

things than they did before.

3 Difficulty completing familiar tasks at

home, at work or at leisure People with Alzheimer's often find it hard to com-

plete daily tasks. Sometimes, people may have

trouble driving to a familiar location, managing a

budget at work or remembering the rules of a fa-

vorite game.

5 Trouble understanding visual images and

spatial relationships For some people, having vision problems is a sign

of Alzheimer’s. They may have difficulty reading,

judging distance and determining color or contrasts,

which may cause problems with driving.

6 New problems with words in speaking

or writing People with Alzheimer’s may trouble following or

joining a conversation. They may stop in the middle

of a conversation and have no idea how to continue

or they may repeat themselves. They may struggle

with vocabulary, have problems finding the right

word or call things by the wrong name.

7 8

Misplacing things and losing the ability to

retrace steps A person with Alzheimer’s disease may put things

in unusual places. They may lose things and be una-

ble to go back over their steps to find them again.

Sometimes, they may accuse others of stealing. This

may occur more frequently over time.

9

Decreased or poor judgment People with Alzheimer’s may experience changes

in judgment or decision-making. For example, they

may use poor judgment when dealing with money,

giving large amounts to telemarketers. They may

pau less attention to grooming or keeping them-

selves clean.

Withdrawal from work or social activities A person with Alzheimer’s may start to remove

themselves from hobbies, social activities, work

projects or sports. They may have trouble with up

with a favorite sport s team or remembering how to

complete a favorite hobby. They may also avoid

being social because of the changes they have expe-

rienced.

10 Changes in mood and personality The mood and personalities of people with Alzhei-

mer’s can change. They can become confused, sus-

picious, depressed, fearful or anxious. They may

be easily upset at home, at work, with friends or in

places where they are out of their comfort zone.

10 EARLY SIGNS & SYMPTONS OF

ALZHEIMER’S

4

Confusion with time or place People with Alzheimer’s can lose track of dates,

seasons and the passage of time. They may have

trouble understanding something if it is not happen-

ing immediately. Sometimes, they may forget

where they are or how they got there.
