My dear Parishioners,
Some time ago, I had planned to do so many things during
the Fourth Week of Advent only to discover that, this year,
there would be no Fourth Week of Advent, not even 24
hours of it. Christmas falls on Monday this year which
means that before this Sunday is over, we will have begun
our Christmas liturgies. Advent has been but three short
weeks long this year and so I must ask myself what have I
accomplished in that brief space of time in my preparation
for the Nativity of the Lord. In all honesty, I must confess
not much. I would not be surprised if you told me that same
thing. It seems we never have enough time during these
days that pass so swiftly. That is why we must make every
effort to focus on the important things in our life.
During Advent our Scriptures have been insisting on our
need to be prepared to meet the Lord when he comes —at
Christmas and at the end of time. How often have we heard
it said that we should live each day as though it were our
last? The important things in our life are our relationships—
with God and with our neighbor. Each day provides us time
to nurture and, with the help of God’s grace, to deepen those
relationships. Prayer is the foundation of a good day; we
should not even think of living a day without
talking with and listening to God. That disposes
us to relate with our neighbor—whoever that
may be that day—with attention and respect.
Let’s not confine Advent to a few weeks.
All of life is an advent. Let’s make the
most of it!
—Fr. Jerome, C.P.

tificar sus problemas y les proporciona los
recursos para lograr la autosuficiencia e independencia. Por
favor done generosamente a esta segunda colecta y ayude-
mos a Caridades Católicas ¡Muchas Gracias!
compromiso, considere hacerlo o simple-
mente contribuya a la campaña. ¡Gracias
y Dios lo bendiga!
¡Bienvenidos a San Pablo de la Cruz!
Ministros El 31 de Diciembre
Cuarto Domingo de Adviento
Queridos Hermanos,
historia siempre toca nuestros corazones. “El
pueblo que caminaba en tinieblas vio una gran luz;
P. Patricio, C.P.
Feliz Navidad!
