Although ruman is commonly reerred to with himiddle initial (S), the 34th president actually didnhave a middle name, just an initial. All his lie, people were conused about themysterious S that ruman used as his middle nameTe Chie Justice o the US Supreme Court evenscrewed up his inaugural oath, reading I, Harry Shippruman to which ruman responded curtly, I

Harry S ruman Multiple theories surrounded his middle nameofen times invented by political enemies. One theorywent that rumans middle name was Solomon, whichhis rivals said meant he was secretly Jewish. Anothertheory claimed that in order to become a Freemasonhe had to have a middle name so he adopted the initiaS. Afer encountering name-related conusion all hilie, ruman finally explained in his autobiography tha

since his parents wanted to name him in honor o twodifferent relatives both o whose names started withthe letter S they decided to compromise and just givehim the middle name S instead o picking one overthe other. ruman wrote: I was named or Harrison Young. I was given thediminutive Harry and, so that I could have two initials inmy given name, the letter S was added. My Grandatherrumans name was Anderson Shippe ruman and myGrandather Youngs name was Solomon Young, so received the S or both o them.

Jones sighed, Everything went wrong this morning,Boss. Te wie decided to drive me to the station. She gotready in ten minutes, but then the drawbridge got stuck.Rather than let you down, I swam across the river look,my suits still damp ran out to the airport, got a rideon Mr. Tompsons helicopter, landed on top o Radio CityMusic Hall, and was carried here piggyback by one o theRockettes. Youll have to do better than that, Jones, said theboss, obviously disappointed. No woman can get ready inten minutes.

Q.Whats the difference between a good lawyer and agreat lawyer? A. A good lawyer knows the law, but a great lawyerknows the judge.

A group of retired Air Force pilots, all in their 40s,discussed where they should meet or lunch. Finally itwas agreed that they would meet at Hooters because thewaitresses were young, good looking, had antastic figuresand wore short-shorts. en years later, at age 50, the Air Force buddies onceagain discussed where they should meet or lunch. Finallyit was agreed that they would meet at Hooters because theood and service was good, they had many televisions towatch the games on, and the beer selection was excellent.

en years later, at age 60, the buddies again discussedwhere they should meet or lunch. Finally it was agreedthat they would meet at Hooters because there was plentyo parking, they could dine in peace, and it was good valueor the money. en years later, at age 70, they discussed where theyshould meet or lunch. Finally it was agreed that they wouldmeet at Hooters because the restaurant was wheelchairaccessible and had a toilet or the disabled.en years later, at age 80, the old riends discussed wherethey should meet or lunch.
