Deliverance

So will they fear the name of the Lord from the west and East. His glory from the

rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift astandard against Him, ( Isa. 59:1).

FREEDOM

Christians can live free from mental torture, panic, envy, hatred, pride, self-pity, addiction,gluttony and all other forms of bondage, oppression and defilement!

There are two main causes for a persons inner problems.

The first point is what the Word calls the flesh, or the old man. The old man that part of the person that is the carnal nature of the persons flesh and it is the rebellious persons will that

is being influenced and tempted by Satan.Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be

destroyed , that henceforth we should not serve sin, (Rom. 6:6).

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt accordingto the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on thenew man, whi ch after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 and haveput on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him, (Col 3:9-10).

The second cause for inner problems is the working of evil spirits. Demons will tiethemselves to the persons mind or flesh. They will not relinquish their evil hold unlesscompelled to do so by a Christian that is empowered by Jesus.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, ( Jam. 4:7).

DEMONS ARE REAL

Many Christians are totally unaware of the reality of indiscernible world of demons. Theyare real!

The Bible says that my people perish for a lack of knowledge.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, Iwill also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thyGod, I will also forget thy children, ( Hos. 4: 6).

Multitudes are tormented because people choose to ignore the power to cast out devils. Theword of God declares, folks can be bound by Satan,

And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and ahouse divided against a house falleth.18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall hiskingdom stand? Because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 19 And if I byBeelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore shall they be your

judges. 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is comeupon you. 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But whena stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armourwherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils, (Lk. 13:11,16).

COMPASSION

Jesus had great compassion for the possessed. He used His power to free them. Then thefirst assignment that He gave His followers was the empowerment to cast out devils.

However, every problem is not the devil. Some problems come from the persons willful sinlife. The scriptural answer to the sins of the flesh is complete surrender to Jesus, (Ro. 6: 6-11.)

If the problem is caused by the persons submission to the sins of the flesh, then counselmust direct that person to commitment to the Lord and His Word. If it is a demon, then we mustcast it out.

Obviously correct diagnosis is of major importance.

We must discern what we are dealing with each case. Is the problem being caused byoppression of the flesh? If this is the reason, then we must counsel the person to totally commithis or her life to Jesus Christ.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, (Gal. 5:24).

If it a question of demon possession, then we must cast it out.

For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. (Mk. 5 , 8, 16:17).

For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed withthem: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed, (Acts 8:7).

Only born again Christians have this ability.

Remember, you cannot cast out a persons flesh nor can you crucify an evil spirit!

Spirit of Deception

The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel

to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach DELIVERANCE TO

THE CAPTIVES, and recovering of sigh to the blind, to SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT

ARE BRUISED, (Lk. 4:18).

DISHONEST

The inspired Apostle Paul warned us: Let no one deceive you, (2 Thess. 2:3). It is clearthat Christians can be vulnerable to deception and we must not forget it. We must be on guardand protect ourselves against deceit. There is deception everywhere in the religious world. Wemust be alert.

The Spirit of God revealed to John in a vision that in the last days, demon spirits would bereleased upon the earth which would go forth to deceive the world. (Rev 16:13-14), And I sawthree unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouthof the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

These three spirits that John saw represent lying, deceiving, seducing demon spirits that aregoing to be released by Satan. (Rev. 16:14), For they are the spirits of devil s, workingmiracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather themto the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The Body of Christ will face Satanic - demonic confrontation greater than at any othertime in history. It will be a time of intensified spiritual warfare where demons will manifestthemselves and will be in direct confrontation with Gods people.

The Church has slept through the occult witchcraft revival of the seventies, eighties,nineties that has continued until the present time. The darkness has entered the AmericanChurches in many manifestations and forms. Many leaders do not discern the bewitchments because they mainly do not believe that it even exists! It is time that the Church shake itself outof the spiritual stupor that it finds itself and seek the Lord. The Church has become sofragmented; it seems that Satans army is foraging ahead with Satans well -organized plan tobring the entire world into rebellion against God! This is just fulfillment of end time prophecy of the Bible. Jesus said, And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no mandeceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceivemany, (Matt. 24:4-5).

[Take heed ... ] (Matt. 24:4). Jesus, in reply to their question, first gives them a caution tobeware of deception. They were to be constantly on their guard, because many would arise todeceive the people.

[Many shall come in my name ] Not in the name or by the authority of Jesus, or claimingto be HIS followers, and to be sent by him, but in the name of the Messiah, or claiming to be theMessiah. 1

[I am Christ ] (Matt 24:5). I am the Messiah. The Messiah was expected at that time,(Matt 2:1-2). Many would lay, claims to being the Messiah, and, as He was universally expected,multitudes would easily be led to believe in them. There is abundant evidence that this was fullyaccomplished. Josephus informs us that there were many who pretended to divine inspiration;who deceived the people, leading out numbers of them into the desert. "The land," says He "wasoverrun with magicians, seducers, and impostors, who drew the people after them in multitudesinto solitudes and deserts, to see I the signs and miracles which they promised to show by thepower of God." Among these are mentioned particularly Dositheus, the Samaritan, who affirmedthat He was Christ; Simon Magus, who said He appeared among the Jews as the Son of God; and

Theudas, who persuaded many to go with him to the river Jordan, to see the waters divided. Thenames of 24 false Messiahs are recorded as having appeared between the time of the EmperorAdrian and the year 1682. 2

The Church will have a continual conflict with infinite miseries and offences, andfurthermore, with false prophets, until the day of victory and triumph comes. 3

Deception tries to deceive by appearing like the real thing. Some no longer can perceivewhat the real Christian faith is. Christianity is more than seeking God for favor for getting things.Jesus is the center of the Gospel. His Word is the avenue to Gods throne. Many teachers haveneed to be taught. One of Martin Luthers favorite sayings was mundus vult decipi theworld wants to be deceived. In the first chapter of the book of Zephaniah, the Lord charges andconvicts both the people and the corrupt leaders they followed indicates the same: Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity,to br ing back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions, (Lam.2:14).

The words deceit, deceitful, deceitfully, deceitfulness and deceive are used again and againin the Bible. It is one of the major themes; you are warned in Scripture about being deceived.There are numerous warnings about the exploiters and purveyors of deceit. The underlyingGreek words for deceit cover everything from self-deceit to the practice of deceit by unprincipledreligious teachers and con artists. You are warned repeatedly and must be ready , (2 Cor.11:3-4, 13-14).

Deceit is defined as: The act of representing as true what is known to be false; adeceiving or lying. 2. A dishonest action or trick; fraud or lie. 3. The quality of beingdeceitful. 2

British scholar, W. E. Vine defines the Greek words apate and dolos that underlie thevarious English words for deceit: APATE . . . to cheat, deceive, beguile, that which gives afalse impression, whether by appearance, statement or influence . . . In (Col. 2:8), vain deceitsuggests that deceit is void of anything profitable . . . DOLOS . . . primarily a bait, snare;hence, craft, deceit, guile. 3 The Apostle Paul warns, Beware lest any man spoil you throughphilosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, andnot after Christ, (Col 2:8).

PRACTICING WITCHCRAFT

There is rise of social acceptance of witchcraft in America. We have entered thesupernatural age of progressive interest and involvement in the occult. Satan's ambassadors arevery successful and extremely evangelistic, capturing spiritual slaves. Also Witchcraft andSatanic worship, coupled with human sacrifices is widespread and happening now!

The Messages from the Spirits:

Preachers no longer preach about Hell. However, Jesus tells us about the rich man and thebeggar, Lazarus, who have both died, in Luke 16. When the rich man pleads that the beggar,Lazarus, be allowed to go back to earth to warn the rich mans brothers about his separation fromGod after death, and the terrible place he is in, the rich man is told that his brothers can listen to

Moses and the Prophets and be warned that way. When the rich man begs again that "someonefrom the dead" should go to them, he is told that if his brothers ignore Moses and theProphets, they will not be convinced "even if someone rises from the dead," (verses 27-31).Jesus is not just speaking of someone coming back from the dead, but of his own resurrectionfrom the dead which many refused to believe. 4

Spiritualism is demonic. The person is a medium that traffics with evil spirits whoimpersonates a dead person. This is called necromancy in the Bible. John Edwards show,"Crossing Over," was so popular on the Sci-Fi channel, that i t crossed over from cable toregular network. Edward approaches a section of the audience and starts giving hisimpressions of what he is getting, whether it be a name, numbers, or a date, until someoneresponds with information that matches. He also asks the person questions as he tosses outclues he says he is receiving. Sometimes it seems that he is throwing out very generalinformation and that the person in the audience is filling in the blanks for Edward. Other times,Edward seems to be uncannily accurate. Is he really receiving messages from dead people? 5

Interestingly, it seems the dead have a hard time being very clear. For example, they mayshow Edward pink roses to say that everything is alright, according to Edward, or they may showEdward a flag to indicate their past patriotism in this life. It is sort of like a game of spiritualcharades. One wonders about this. Why cant the dead just speak words to Edward, or write themout on a "spirit chalkboard" so to speak? James Van Praagh, in explaining the difficulty he has ininterpreting the symbols shown to him by spirits, said that the recently deceased spirits were justlearning to communicate, and so one could not expect all messages to be clear. This raises otherquestions: Why do recently dead people have trouble communicating? Where do they get theseobjects that they show Edward and Van Praagh? Why cant they just project their thoughts intoEdwards mind? Why are their messages so prosaic and, well, boring? The picture one gets of these creatures certainly does not present a very interesting company of people to pass the timewith. Why would these spirits have any special wisdom just because they are dead?

Though the spirits always claim to be happy and to be doing well (is Hitler also there withthem, doing okay), we do not know why they are happy and doing well? What do they do,exactly? And if they told us, how do we know its true? How can we test these spirits to see if they are lying about anything or everything they tell the mediums? The answer is that we cant test them based on our own exper iences since we havent been to the other side. Only God reallyknows if these spirits are telling the truth, and who these spirits are.

Note that the messages from the "dead," from the spirits, and from channeled entities neverencourage people to believe the Bible, never urge people to trust Christ for salvation, and oftenopenly contradict Gods word or even speak derisively of Christ as Savior. For example, the"God" in Walshs books attacks very early on the credibility of the Bible, which he mentions

specifically, saying that words cannot contain truth (of course, that should apply to Walshs books as well since they are nothing but words!). This "God" also attacks the idea that there isright and wrong, and urges Walsh to abandon previous beliefs. At one point, "God" even tellsWalsh that he (Walsh) is Gods equal, and that Adams fall was actually his "upliftment," andthat it was not sin, but was a "first blessing," 6

The medium called up Samuel, who was dead, but the medium seemed surprised to seeSamuel. Although God also allowed Saul to see the impersonating devil appearing like Samuel,

it was for him to receive news of his death the next day. God used Sauls forbidd en consultationwith the medium to give him a message that condemned his action. (First Chron. 10:13, 14)follows up by telling us that one reason that Saul is allowed to die in battle is because heconsulted a medium.

Then said the woman, whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, bring me upSamuel. 12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the womanspake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul, (I Sam. 28:11).

Noting the confused description she gives, it is fully evident that she was both surprisedand alarmed at what she saw. The spirit being so widely different from what she expected to see,she cried with a loud voice. She was horrified at the strange spirit that made its appearance takeshape of Samuel. Instantly she receives the message that the person that come to her seekinginformation was, in fact, King Saul. (1 Sam. 28:12).

At this point of the experience, King Saul could not see the manifestation of the evil spiritposing as Samuel. However, he had great fear that something frightening was happening. The

witch said to the King, And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou?And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth, (ISam. 28: 13).

And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, an old man cometh up; andhe is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped withhis face to the ground, and bowed himself. (I Sam. 28:14). Saul perceived that it was Samuel.From the witchs description, Saul believed that it was Samuel. The word perceives means, hefelt or sensed it was Samuel.

After Saul received the spiritual information from the witch, his spiritual ears were openedto hear the demon s peak. And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bringme up? (I Sam. 28:15). Then Saul no longer needed the medium acting as a spiritual pipe line

between him and the demon. He answered the demon and sought information from it for himsel f. And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, andGod is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams:therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. It isimportant to see here, that Saul tells the demon that he has the problem that his enemy is going tomake war against him. Imagine this. His enemy is the same demonic force that he is seeking ananswer. Also note, he knows it. He said, God is d eparted from me and has cut all Divinecommunication. So, he simply joins the other side.

There is no way that God would break His Word and allow a dead prophet to appear to theback slider King Saul. If God tells us not to seek information from the dead, then he is not going

allow His beloved Samuel participates in this type of demonic activity. If God was silent to KingSaul, God would not have used a demonic activity to give spiritual information to the King.

Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou a sk of me, seeing the LORD isdeparted from thee, and is become thine enemy? (I Sam. 28:16). There simply is no help if the Spirit of the Lord has turned you over to the Devil.

Words are spirit. They are either coming from the Spirit of God or the spirit of a demon.The demon speaks spiritual words of curses over King Saul. And the LORD hath done to

him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and givenit to thy neighbour, even to David: Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, norexecutedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing untothee this day, (1Sam. 28: 17, 18).

The impersonating demon of Samuel pronounces a curse over the King which reveals tohim the utter destruction of his work and the also the deaths of himself and his sons. Moreoverthe LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrowshalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into thehand of the Philistines, (I Sam. 28:19). Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth,and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; forhe had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.

The witch was smart enough to know that what was happening by Sauls evilcommunicatio was in violation of the spiritual laws of God. Inspired by her craft, she moved tocapture Sauls spirit for her master.

Witches use rituals of making potions from food and drinks. They bless these drinksand foods to their devils. These potions are for the witch to get total control over their subjects.The witch of Endor wanted to use her familiar spirits to block King Saul from being able torepent to God for his wicked actions of going after other gods. The next verses tell us how shesecured his soul by bringing into complete subjection to these witchcraft powers. (1 Sam. 28:20-25). And the woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said untohim, Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, andhave hearkened unto thy words which thou spakest unto me. 22 Now therefore, I pray thee,hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread beforethee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way. 23 But herefused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him;

and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed. 24And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour,and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof: 25 And she brought it before Saul,and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went awa y that night.

Notice that she killed a fat calf. Another words, she sealed the evil pact with King Saul andhis men with a blood sacrifice. This fact sealed the fate of Saul and his men and though theyknew that they were going to their deaths, they went into battle like controlled zombies and died.

It is a serious thing to go to necromancers, spiritists or mediums. God is not going to wink at those who seek necromancers out like John Edwards. Seeking after these familiar spirits, willcondemn them before the throne of God. They may be committing abominations to God that maytake their souls for eternity. Consulting mediums or attempting spirit contact takes us away fromseeking God for direction: "And when they say to you, Consult the mediums and thespiritists who whisper and mutter, should not a people consult their God? Should tneyconsult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do notspeak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them," (Isa. 8: 19, 20).

(Lev. 19:31), puts it clearly: "Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out tobe defiled by them. I am the Lord your God." God considers this spiritual adultery . (Lev.20:6).

There are two kinds of angels: good angels who serve God, and fallen angels (evil spirits,demons) who serve Satan. Good angels are messengers of God; they serve God, not us. They donot come and go at our command. If one seeks to contact an angel, only evil angels will respond.7

(2 Cor. 11:14), tells us that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. Demonsserve Satan, and take after him. Why cant a demon disguise itself as a good angel, a deadperson, a wise spiritual master, or any other spi rit that humans seek? 8

Conclusions

This is what God had to say about the prophets who presented their dreams as comingfrom God, when they werent: "I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in myname. They say, I had a dream! I had a dream! How long will this continue in the hearts

of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds? They think thedreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathersforgot my name through Baal worship. Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream,but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?"declares the Lord. Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer whichshatters a rock? (Jeremiah. 23:25-29).

The Bible warns people not to get entangled with mediums or wizards, or witches. Godknew that doing so would endanger the souls to enter the pit of eternal hell by doing so. Thereshall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass throughthe fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter , or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer (talkingto the dead). 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: andbecause of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God, (Deut 18:10-13).

DEMONS ARE REAL

At this time, many Christians hardly believe that demons are real, let alone that there arepeople practicing witchcraft. All one has to do is keep your eyes on Jesus, many said.Another thing, We dont want to lift the Devil up or give him any credit, others wouldassert strongly. Meantime, right before our eyes one of the greatest occult explosions tookplace. Satan has tremendous control over his captives. He can control them completely.

The Bible says, But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them t hat are lost; In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the gloriousgospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them, (II Cor. 4:3-4).

There are two sources for a person to be able to achieve supernatural power, Jesus orSatan. Seeking power beyond the Word of God and beyond the authority of Jesus Christ finds aperson stepping into the world of the Occult. The occult is very religious. Many are seekinghoping to find for themselves a reason for their life. They want to fill a void in their soul. Instead,

they will move into a door that very few people come back. Once ensnared by the Devil, the persons mind, body and spirit is totally bound by the powers of darkness. The only way out isthrough the grace of God and the Blood of Jesus. 9

The Apostle Peter tells us in (2 Pet. 1:19), "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a darkplace, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts. We are living in dark days:morally, spiritually, nationally, internationally, politically and economically. A prophecy giveslight on the pathway that is set before us. The prophetic word is the only ray of light by whichwe can know the future. The coming outlook is pitch-dark but for Believers. It is bright.

SATAN AND JESUS

In the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, we see the power of Satan and the results of hisinfluence over people . Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden and all of its blessings byfollowing his influence. This alone should tell all men that he is a power to be reckoned with.Jesus, while on earth, was confronted by the power in the physical as well as in the spiritual

sense. Often he rebuked the Devil in people who were afflicted with illness as well as those whowere violent and acted abnormally. Look at Mark Chapter 5, devils of epilepsy were cast.

The seventy came rejoicing because the devils were subject unto them. In the finalstatement in Mark, Chapter 16, casting out of devils is shown as part of the preaching of theGospel, and I find no place in Scripture where this was ever rescinded. There are manyoccurrences in life that even the medical world cannot explain. Only knowledge as shown in the

book of Job can explain these strange occurrences. We find a full onslaught of Satans work a ndability. His destruction of Jobs wealth, family and total physical health reduced the man to afragment of his original self.

Satan is mans enemy, as proven by the book of Job, and is a destroyer of all good things,but, every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of Lights with whom there is novariableness. It should be easy to identify the source of what is happening by the results that arebefore us. God is a good and the giver of all good things; Satan is just the reverse of God. Theinfluence of each is easily discerned by the end results. 10

Author Corrie Ten- Boom says, Someone asked my opinion of the missionaries in acertain country. My answer was, They have given all, but they have not taken all. They havegiven homeland, time, money, luxury, and more, but they have not taken all the riches abundantthat the Word gives us from the boundless resources of Gods promises. Many do not knowabout two precious weapons: The power of the cross and the blood of Jesus and every legal rightof use of the wonderful name of Jesus. 11

PSYCHIC ABILITY

The Bible give demonstrations of divination spirits that are constantly working to try toinfiltrate the church. Look at (Acts 16:16), As we went to prayer, a certain damsel(demonized) POSSESSED WITH A SPIRIT OF DIVINATION met us, which brought hermasters much gain by soothsaying. This woman was delivered after the giving aprophetic word to the people. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damselpossessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by

soothsaying: 17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are theservants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. 18 And this did shemany days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in thename of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour, . (Acts 16:16-18). Through the power of being able to discern the divination spirit in the woman, the Apostle

Paul took authority over the evil spirit and cast it out.In our world today, we must be astute concerning the spirit of prophecy. Many have come

into the church that had psychic abilities before asking Jesus to save them. Many of them havenever been delivered from the divination spirits from their pre-Christian life. There are very fewleaders that are alert and guarding the sheep. Many do not even know how to discern whethersomeone who is using supernatural power is connecting with God or the Devil.

The Apostle Paul shows that even as false ministers appeared as true ministers, so alsoSatan can masquerade himself as a true angel of God. The purpose of coming to a person in therole of the deceiver is to trick that individual into accepting the false for the true. And nomarvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great

thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shallbe according to their works, (2 Cor. 11:14).

You must look to see if a spirit that is operating through a person is the Holy Spirit or anunholy spirit. A believer protection is discerning the spirits to see if they be of God and studyingthe whole counsel of Gods Word and rightly dividing the Word by interp reting Scripture withScripture.

PSYCHIC POWER

Marcia Montenego, a former New Ager, writes, Psychic ability is developed bylearning to get into an altered state of consciousness (a light trance) and opening one's mind andself to supernatural forces. The most common way one learns to do this is through certain formsof meditation or visualization (normally preceded by relaxation and/or breathing exercises) orthrough the use of occultic tools such as an astrology chart, a crystal ball, a numerology chart,etc., which seem to spontaneously trigger such altered mind states. 12

In psychic development classes in which the writer once participated, students are taught topractice various techniques of meditation, focus and visualization; sometimes this includescontacting a 'spirit guide' from another dimension. Some go deeper into this state and become amedium or channeler. They lose conscious awareness and allow a supernatural entity to takeover their body and speak through them (a medium thinks the spirit is a dead person; a channelerbelieves it is a being from another realm, or possibly a space alien). A psychic normallymaintains awareness while receiving the information. Once these techniques are mastered, itbecomes very easy to 'slip' in and out of such a state at will. Visiting the county library, thiswriter found several books on the occult that give instructions on how to use a crystal ball, readtarot cards, etc. The instructions emphasize going into a meditative or trance-like state in order tomore effectively use these tools. Where do psychics think the information comes from? Not allpsychics agree, but generally they believe one or more of the following: They are tapping into anenergy field which contains the information.

They are accessing a type of psychic central records division called the Akashic Recordwhich contains all information about the past, present and future. They are receiving theinformation from the client's 'higher self' which has access to information pertinent to that client.The information is coming from the psychic's spirit guide or from G od. 13

THE WHITE LIGHT BARRIER

Montenego goes on to warn, When one takes steps to develop telepathy, ESP, or other psychic abilities, one is opening the door to dangerous forces. As this writers psychic abilitiesexpanded, so did the frightening experiences. Many of this writers frie nds and associates in theoccult often had similar experiences. In fact, it is common practice for a psychic to call onbenevolent protective forces or to visualize 'white light' (supposedly for protection) beforepracticing a psychic technique, doing a reading or spirit contact. What do they think they areprotecting themselves from? By doing this, the psychics acknowledge the existence of evil orharmful beings, but how do they know these beings are not disguising themselves as benevolentspirits or guides? What law says a white light is a barrier to evil entities? Why would such a light

keep out any spirits? Maybe the evil entities have been laughing all these years at this flimsy'protection' as they fed false information to the psychics and pretended to be helpful. And whyshouldnt they? What would they have to lose? God already called this one when He wrote thatSatan disguises himself as an "angel of light," (2 Cor. 11:14). 14

Montenego clearly shows that having Psychic power involves the influence of traffic indemonic forces. She says, Psychic power in the Bible is described as having a familiar spirit , being a medium, being a soothsayer, or being a fortune-teller, among other terms. TheHebrew and Greek words for these terms are different from the Hebrew and Greek words used todescribe prophecy or speaking in the power of the Holy Spirit. Divination , the art of retrievinghidden information with occult methods or paranormal powers , is linked with psychic abilityand strongly condemned throughout t he Bible. (See Deut. 18:10 -12; Lev. 19:31, 20:6; I Chron.

10:13-14; Is. 2:6; Dan. 2:27-28a).She went on to state, God gives us the acid test in (Deut. 18:21 -22), to use for prophecy.

If the prophecy is not 100% accurate, the prophet is not from God. This writer, who once wasinvolved in the occult and in psychic activity, was often told by psychics that a really goodpsychic on their best day might be about 85% accurate. No psychic claims 100% accuracy 100%of the time. Another test: If someone gives accurate information or foretells an event fromdreams or visions, but then leads you away from the Biblical God, you should reject that prophetor visionary (Deut. 13:13). There is no way around it: when psychic ability is put to the test,it falls on its face. 15

These familiar spirits do not tell the truth. Many lives have been wrecked following after

lying spirits . The Bible says, of LYING SPIRITS , There came forth a spirit and stood beforethe Lord and said, "I will persuade him . The Lord said to him, "Wherewith?" He said, "I will go forth and I will be a LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of all his prophets." Therefore, behold, the Lord has put (allowed) a LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of all these prophets, (1Ki. 22:21-23).There came out a spirit and stood b efore the Lord and said, "I will entice him." The Lord said to him, "Wherewith?" He said, "I will go out and be a LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of all his

prophets." The Lord said, "You shall entice him and you shall also prevail; go out and do even

so. The Lo rd has put (allowed) a LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of these your prophets, (2Chron.18:20-22).

Truly lying spirits are real and they inspire false prophecies.

We would do well to listen to Mrs. Montenegos advice concerning going to Psychics. Shewarns, Consulting a psychic, in person or by phone, for 'fun' or out of curiosity, according to theprinciples God gives us, should be avoided. You may discover that, in the long run, theinformation seems helpful only temporarily, and you will start using the psychic to make up foryour own inability to cope and make decisions. You may also start relying on the psychic as acounselor to listen to your problems.

The prophet Daniel said it best, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner canexplain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven whoreveals mysteries," (Dan. 2:27), for it is God who "alone has all wisdom and power," who"reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though hehimself is surrounded by light, " (Dan. 2: 20, 22). 16

This word of caution. This writer can also add that you must be careful about hooking up

with certain Christian prophets and prophetess . Many call themselves prophets and prophetesses but are they called by thems elves or God? Words are spiritual. If a lying spirit isoperating, a lying spirit will work to bring these words to happen. If God has not spoken, thenSatan can work his plan for your life. This writer has seen many so-called Christian prophetstelling Christians strange words that God did not speak. How did I know? Their words did notagree with Gods Word and through the discerning of spirits. You had better test the spirits to seeif they are of God.

UNCLEAN SPIRITS

I will cause the prophets and the UN CLEAN SPIRITS to pass out of the land, (Zech.13:2).

When the UNCLEAN SPIRIT is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seekingrest, and finds none. Then he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then hesays, I will return into my house from where I came out. When he is come, he finds it empty(because the man did not ask Jesus' Holy Sprit to move in.), swept and garnished. Then goes he,and takes with himself 7 other spirits more wicked than himself. They enter in and dwell there.The last state of that man is worse than the first, (Matt. 12:43 -45).

There was in their synagogue a man with an UNCLEAN SPIRIT; and he cried out,saying, "Let US alone. What have WE to do with You, You Jesus of Nazareth? Are You come todestroy US? I know You who You are, the Holy One of God." Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Holdyour peace (be silent), and come out of him." When the UNCLEAN SPIRIT had torn(violently shook) him and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. They were all amazed,insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What thing is this? What newdoctrine is this, for with authority He commands even the UNCLEAN SPIRITS and they doobey Him," (Mk. 1:23-27.)

UNCLEAN SPIRITS, when they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried, saying, "Youare the Son of God," (Mk. 3:11).

People of our day have a tendency to trust their church leaders and famous personalities byrelying on them to do their Bible studies and tell them how to live. No one seems to watching thesheep. A Good Shepherd never runs when the wolves come, but he fights for his sheep. Jesussaid, Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghosthath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own

blood. For I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in AMONG YOU, notsparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to drawaway disciples after them (Acts 20:28 -30).

"But now is Christ risen from the dead."1 Corinthians 15:20

The whole system of Christianity rests upon the fact that "Christ is risen from the dead;" for,"If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain: ye are yet in yoursins." The divinity of Christ finds its surest proof in His resurrection, since He was "Declaredto be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection fromthe dead." It would not be unreasonable to doubt His Deity if He had not risen. Moreover,Christ's sovereignty depends upon His resurrection, "For to this end Christ both died, and rose,and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living." Again, our justification, thatchoice blessing of the covenant, is linked with Christ's triumphant victory over death and thegrave; for "He was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." Nay,more, our very regeneration is connected with His resurrection, for we are "Begotten againunto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." And most certainly ourultimate resurrection rests here, for, "If the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the deaddwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies byHis Spirit that dwelleth in you." If Christ be not risen, then shall we not rise; but if He be risenthen they who are asleep in Christ have not perished, but in their flesh shall surely behold theirGod. Thus, the silver thread of resurrection runs through all the believer's blessings, from hisregeneration onwards to his eternal glory, and binds them together. How important then willthis glorious fact be in his estimation, and how will he rejoice that beyond a doubt it isestablished, that "now is Christ risen from the dead."

Justice with mercy's reconciled,For God has raised His Son."

Christ's office of Healer is revealed by each of His Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord isupon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent meto heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sightto the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, six other names."

Most of Christians were taught that when received Jesus the curses were automaticallywipe out. However, these curses continue to live on until they killed and the curses arebroken; then blessings are appropriated according to the Word of God. Until you say INTHE NAME OF JESUS, I BREAK THE CURSE OF , the curse is not

broken. I bind the demons enforcing these curses, cage them and send them to the feet of Jesusfor judgment before their time.

Matthew 8:29

[29] And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Sonof God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time ?

For example: Deuteronomy Chapters 27 and 28 are known as the Blessing and theCurses chapters. Go through these chapters and break the curses of the bastard (KJV-Deuteronomy 23), the curse of idolatry, poverty, sickness, death, etc. Again this is not anexhaustive list. As you learn more about DELIVERANCE the Lord will show you curses thatneed to be broken over you and your family.
