Why blog for yourself? Why blog for others?
Blogging provides an opportunity for you to communicateyour latest initiatives, projects, issues being tackled andsuccesses of your committee. Blogging ensures your workdoes not go by unnoticed and opens the communication
lines.
Blogging will create a network of followers interested inthe topics you address. Followers (primarily Chambermembers) will now be informed on your committee andthe action that you take. Blogging will provide opportunity
for others to comment, provide critic, suggestions, affirmation and questions. Followers will come away fromyour blog more informed and further connected with DeltaChamber and the City of Delta.

How can blogging further the Delta Chamber’scommunications reach?
Blogging is where people are now. Websites arebecoming merely a face for the organization, with
Blogs, Twitter, and Facebook taking over theconnection process that occurs with clients, members,or friends.
Blogging provides opportunities to report on issues,
advocacy, and successes, which may have not beenpublically reported on otherwise. It is a friendly, modern format that makes reading interesting andinteractive.

WordPress And WordPress MU Will Merge: Good Or Bad?
Filed as Features with 1 comment by Thord Daniel Hedengren
WordPress MU is the multi-user version of WordPress, which basically
means that you can run several WordPress blogs within one WordPress MU
installation. It is in many ways similar to WordPress, but adds this
functionality along with some other small things that is needed for being your veryown blog host. The most well known WordPress MU sites are WordPress.com and
Edublogs.
And now, finally, WordPress MU and WordPress will merge. The MU lead developer
Donncha O Caoimh said this on his blog: Basically, the thin layer of code that allows WordPress MU to host multiple WordPress blogs
will be merged into WordPress. I expect the WordPress MU project itself will come to an endbecause it won’t be needed any more (which saddens me), but on the other hand many morepeople will be working on that very same MU code which means more features and morebugfixes and faster too.
