Key Developments since PDA Stage 2:There are several weaknesses that were evidently developed since stage 2 of this PDA. These issues are:

- Elicitation techniques developed and that was clearly expressed by my tutors Steve and Richard in their feedback. This is an area that requires continuous development and reflection, as it is essential to learners’ involvement in the learning content.

- Carefully developing the lesson plan and rehearsing the sequence of tasks have greatly contributed to my issue of timing in class. Anticipating issues in class was also a contributing factor to overcome such an issue.

- Setting purpose for tasks is now relatively developed than it previously was. More instruction checking questions were devised and it is further advised by my tutor to repeat the instructions several times as some students might not understand from the first time and require reconfirmation on statements and instructions.

- Reflecting back on the materials that were mentioned in stage 2 for further reading, I can say that they had a great impact on improving my teaching, especially with properly staging and naming the lesson plan. These materials have also helped improve my elicitation and feedback techniques.

Most Significant Current Weaknesses:It is worth noting that there are still some weaknesses that are not fully developed into strengths, and some others emerged during my LSAs 1 and 2. These weaknesses are:

- Proofreading issues that emerge frequently in my written assignments that I try to overcome by proofreading, but I think it would prove to be more useful if a native speaker can proofread it for me, in order to help out with issues such as phrasing, punctuation and word ordering.

- I need to work further on decentralizing and having a more student-centered classroom. Delayed feedback was an issue highlighted by my tutor Richard, which needs to be addressed carefully.

- I included a class profile but failed to provide detailed learners’ profile in both LSA 1 and 2.- My aims tend to vague and need to be clearly stated.- I do not fully understand the suggestions section in the essay. It is either too general (in LSA 1),

or failed to provide one completely (in LSA 2) as a result of misunderstanding.

Stage 3 Action Plan:Reflecting back on the feedback received from my tutors and working on developing my current weaknesses, this is the newly set action plan for the following phase of this module:

- With concern to the issues I have with writing and format, I need to have a native speaker proofread my work before finally submitting it to my tutors, to deal with my language and editing slips.

- As for the issues I have with structuring my background essays and lesson plan, I need to look at sample work from my peers who met the criteria that I failed to meet. It would also prove useful to revisit the DELTA handbook and try to better understand the requirements of writing before the coming attempts.

- I will remember in my coming lesson plan to include better language analysis and learners’ profile. I would also seek the support of my peers who were able to provide the aforementioned up to the required standards. Additionally, my aims need to be stated clearly and down to the required set up of the lesson.

- I need to consult my reference books again with concern to decentralization and delayed feedback in my classroom, as it seems to be an issue that is underdeveloped in my teaching.

- The assumptions in the lesson plan is another issue, since this is the first time I am teaching learners with a Spanish background, and working around their anticipated problems is not easy. I would ask my peers and tutors, who had a larger exposure to Spanish learners, to help me with designing my anticipated problems.
