Feedback and Evaluation Planning and Outcomes This LSA’s grammar aims were evident through the desired outcomes in devising a variety of tasks, and feedback techniques that ensured an engaging lesson. With concern to planning, I have put the feedback from the diagnostic lesson and the two previous LSAs into high consideration and worked on my weaknesses greatly. My planning included better drilling techniques and I also planned a variety of engaging group work and pair work tasks which proved to be effective when devised, and resulted in outcomes that were directly evident in a lively classroom. The rapport in the classroom was very constructive, resulting in a highly engaging and motivating lesson. Some of the issues that arose in LSA 1 were repeated again in this lesson, due to stress of working with a new group of students. Strengths and Weaknesses In this LSA, I tried to work on the weaknesses that I demonstrated in the diagnostic lesson and the two previous LSAs. The staging of the lesson was clear and logical, and the pace allowed students with enough time to focus on each task. Brushing on the present simple before attempting the adverbs of frequency proved to be useful for the learners. The rapport in the class was the reason for high student involvement, where praise was an important contributing factor. Since this was a grammar class, the concept presentation was clear, and the modeling and drilling of the words presented was up to the expected standards, and the language analysis served that part well. It is worth mentioning that I missed introducing the issue of double negatives during the presentation phase, but I was able to recover explaining it when one of the students made an error. The pronunciation part, where group and individual drilling was applied proved to be of high interest to the learners, especially dealing with sentence stress. Another issue I need to put into consideration for the next LSA is to review my handouts before giving out to the students. Consolidation and Follow-up

Planning and Outcomes

This LSA’s grammar aims were evident through the desired outcomes in devising a variety of tasks, and feedback techniques that ensured an engaging lesson.

Strengths and Weaknesses

In this LSA, I tried to work on the weaknesses that I demonstrated in the diagnostic lesson and the two previous LSAs.

I need to work further on feedback setting in more depth for my next LSA and read more on the providing constructive feedback and the importance of delayed feedback for students. In observing other teachers in my group, I have seen the drilling and feedback techniques that they use and would like to adopt some of them into my teaching practice.
