Strain engineering the performance of ferroelectric and piezoelectric device

The mechanical loads are used to tuned the electro-resistance in tunnel junctions, providing a new freedom in material and device design.

ACS Nano, 2011, 5, 1649; Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics. 2012, 14, 7051

Phonon vibrations and Raman spectrum of two‐dimensional materials

In a series of papers, we developed the theoretical framework on how to use the Raman spectrum to determine the thickness, symmetry, surface effect and absorption, as well as the stacking orders in 2D layer materials.

Interface between metal/semiconductors

ACS Nano, 2015, 9, 869; Nanoscale, 2015, 7, 10823

Physical Review X, 2013, 3, 041027

The interface could be another freedom to tailor the properties of nanoelectronic devices. Here, we show that ultra-low contact resistance could be achieved in the MoS2/Graphene/Ni interface. And the nonvolatile resistive switching is obtained in Pt/LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures.

Organic two‐dimensional materials

A new two-dimensional conjugated aromatic polymer is synthesized via C–C coupling reaction, which we believed paves the way for the sodium Battery application in organic 2D materials.
