InhaledCorticosteroids in the Management of Bronchial Asthma.AB: A
double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled study favored
inhalednedocromil Na (NC) over placebo for improvement of symptoms
and pulmonaryfunction in 35 bronchial asthmatics using high dose
inhaled beclometasonedipropionate or budesonide and inhaled
bronchodilators with or withouttheophylline tablets. Additional NC
treatment was superior to placebo forreduction in daytime symptoms,
increase in morning peak expiratory flow (PEF)and clinical opinion.
Side-effects of NC included bitter/bad taste,
dizziness,vomiting.
