Review the syllabus
Rules and Expectations: 1. Follow the school rules at all time. 2. Arrive on time to class. Be in your assigned seat and ready to
learn when the bell rings. You are required to bring your Spanish textbook, Spanish notebook, pencils/pens to every class.
3. Be respectful to your teacher and classmates. 4. Pay attention, be fully present and participate. 5. Give your full attention to the person speaking. 6. Electronic devices are only allowed to be used when permission is
given. 7. Remain in your assigned seat until you’re dismissed. 8. No eating or drinking in class. Only water is allowed. 9. Electronic translators in any form (purchased by you, internet
websites, etc.) are not permitted to be used on ANY of your assignments.
31
Consequences for not meeting the rules and expectations:
1st offense: Complete discipline form and turn it in the following class
2nd offense: Complete discipline form, turn it in the following class, and I’ll contact parent/guardian
3rd offense: Complete discipline form, turn it in the following class, and I’ll send student to office
4th offense: Complete discipline form, turn it in the following class, and I’ll request a teacher/parent/administrator meeting
32
Retakes
In case a student needs a retake, at least two re-teaching sessions will need to take place within three weeks after the initial assessment. Re-teaching can be done by me or a tutor I will assign. All work relevant to the content being assessed needs to have been completed and turned in by the student prior to the retake date. Because Spanish assessments take one-on-one time, retakes need to be scheduled. If a student misses class on the day of an assessment s/he has the same amount of days s/he missed to contact me to schedule a make-up.
