Michael KasperGam ble Family Vineyards, National Sales Manager

Michael brings more than 15 years of experience in super-premium wine sales to Gamble Family Vineyards, and most recently served as the Southeast Director of Sales for Napa-based John Anthony Vineyards. His extensive work experience includes roles as Southeast Division Manager for Hess Collection Winery, Vice President of Sales for Luna Vineyards in Napa, and Midwest Regional Sales Manager for TOG Wines, a Sebastiani Family wine brand. Prior to that, he held managerial sales positions with South America Wine Importers, Michael-David Winery, and Vin DiVino, a Chicago-based wine importer.

Michael, who is based in Miami Beach, Florida, oversees Gamble Family Vineyards’ sales and distribution throughout the United States, with the exception of California.

Laurence KorossPRIME Napa Valley, Lead Wine Educator

Laurence is the lead wine educator at PRIME Cellars, where his experience as a teacher has helped him create informative and enjoyable tasting experiences for guests visiting the Napa Valley wine region. Raised on the east coast, Laurence moved to Chicago as a young man to embark on a scholarly pursuit of philosophy, history, religion, and ancient languages.

A� er moving to Sacramento for his wife’s academic program, Laurence accepted an educational position for Napa County’s Health & Human Services. � en, a summer job in a winery changed everything. He enjoyed the experience so much he decided to leave his county job for full-time work in the wine industry. Since coming to PRIME Cellars, Laurence’s success has been unparalleled, and guests will o� en seek him out a� er reading the plethora of wonderful reviews he has inspired on social media circuits for his knowledge, passion, sense of humor, and hospitable warmth. He lives happily in Napa with his wife and two young children.

Shirley RoyROY Estate, Proprietor

Shirley Roy and her husband, the late Charles Roy were both born and raised on the East Coast. Charles was originally from Massachuse� s. He was a civil engineer and an architect. Shirley was born on Long Island and grew up in New Jersey. She is an accountant and a student of � ne food and wine. Together, they owned and operated executive suite businesses on the East Coast. During the 1980’s and 90’s they made many business trips to San Francisco and Northern California. � ey fell in love with Napa Valley.

In 1999, with the purchase of pro golfer Johnny Miller’s estate, they began new lives as vintners. With Charles’ untimely passing in 2010, Shirley is commi� ed to their vision.

Marika Vida-ArnoldCatena Zapata, Brand Ambassador

Over the past two decades, Marika Vida-Arnold has served as the Wine Director of the Ritz-Carlton Central Park, New York, Sommelier of the top-rated Laurent Tourondel Bistro, BLT Market, and Sommelier for the Philadelphia Ritz-Carlton with ‘Top Chef ’ winner Kevin Sbraga. She developed the opening wine program at 10Arts with Chef Eric Ripert and Chef Jennifer Carroll.

Her most recent project is the critically acclaimed Phenomenal Femmes Program, which focuses on female winemakers from around the globe. It has been featured in Bloomberg, Forbes, Haute Living, Gotham, � e Somm Journal, and Wine Enthusiast. She holds titles of Certi� ed Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and the American Sommelier Association. She is a Certi� ed Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and holds the Advanced Certi� cate for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Marika is currently a Wine Educator for the famed Argentine winery Catena Zapata and she is a member of the Full Circle Sommelier Network, working with Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein.


Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q Growing up in Texas, Jonathan and Justin

Fox were inspired by the open sky, the Texas heat and the southern spice. Before he had any clue he would end up in the restaurant industry, Jonathan Fox earned the nickname “Cookie” by his peers. When they would go camping, Jonathan would always end up cooking and preparing the food for all of his friends.

Remember the Alamo? Jonathan and Justin were born in San Antonio, TX on March 2. � e twin brothers are the youngest of a blended family of six.

� e two brothers are proud of their Texan roots and agree that their food is a great combination of where they have been and where they are now.

Jonathan and Justin taught themselves how to cook. � ey have no professional training and cook using a “trial and error” philosophy.

A� er scouring Atlanta for the perfect barbecue joint, the brothers decided to take ma� ers into their own hands. Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q started as a friendly backyard gathering with family and friends eating good barbecue. � e backyard get-together turned into cooking for over 200 people including live music.

Today Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q has become an Atlanta staple, with features on Good Day Atlanta, CBS Be� er Mornings, Martha Stewart Radio, � e Weather Channel, TLC and Fox News. � ey have earned top spots on barbecue rankings from top publications like Eater, USA Today Travel, Daily Candy and Maxim Magazine. With fresh renovations to their � agship restaurant, Fox Bros. continues to serve Atlanta’s favorite barbecue to their extensive fan base. � e Fox brothers have no intentions of slowing down and believe that it’s not only important to achieve your goals, but it is even more important to maintain them.

Back Beach Barbecue Back Beach Barbecue opened in June 2017 by

Danny and Monica Cosenzi, the duo behind the famed Restaurant Paradis located in Rosemary Beach. Back Beach Barbecue o� ers a delicious, re� ned menu highlighted by 12-hour slow cooked meats, simple homemade sides, gluten free options, and four sauces which are made in house. At the center of a� ention are the restaurant’s two wood � red pits, “Smokey” and “� e Bandit,” easily viewed and smelled from the covered patio, outdoor patio or via two garage doors which give the restaurant a true open-air feel.

Sam Jones BBQSam Jones is the third generation to cook

traditional whole hog barbecue at Skylight Inn in Ayden, NC. Sam’s family opened Skylight Inn in 1947 with a very humble beginning. Since then, they have always stayed true to what has made them what they are—a standard bearer for wood-cooked eastern NC style barbecue.

Skylight Inn, as well as Sam, have been mentioned among the greats when it comes to legendary barbecue joints and pitmasters in many publications and several TV shows. In 2012, Sam was named as one of the “Top Ten Pitmasters in South” by Southern Living. In 2003, Skylight Inn was honored with a James Beard award for “Americas Classics.”

In the fall of 2015, Sam opened Sam Jones BBQ in Winterville, NC—a new restaurant, but with all the indicators of traditional BBQ. With no freezers and a detached pit house turning out freshly smoked meats, the integrity of the eastern NC BBQ is surely safe here.

Sam’s � rst cookbook, Whole Hog BBQ: � e Gospel of Carolina Barbecue, was published on May 7, 2019 by Ten Speed Press. Now adding author to his titles, Sam is passionate about his cra� and holds high standards for what traditional barbecue is. More importantly, Sam is known for being an honest, hard working guy who loves people, loves his hometown, and loves what he does.
