ACTIVITY IDEAS
CANAL TOUR
The history of Amsterdam is intimately connected with water. Its
165 canals were created over the centuries to stimulate trade and
transport and reclaim land to expand the city. They continue
define the city’s landscape and in 2010 Amsterdam’s canal ring was recognised as a UNESCO world
heritage site.
During the Canal Tour you will visit the city’s sights and attractions in
the most memorable way.
BIKING TOUR
What better way to discover Amsterdam than to discover it the
Dutch way.
Did you know that there are more than 881,000 bicycles in Amsterdam
which is four times the number of cars. In 2017 it was ranked as the
third Most Bike Friendly City in the World.
The biking route can be tailormade to your wishes.
CHEESE & WINE TASTING
The Netherlands is a country rich in fertile farmland that’s perfect for dairy cows, it seems quite natural that the
Dutch have a visible passion for good cheese. The Netherlands produces a
variety of cheeses, but the most known is the hard or semi-hard cheeses like
Gouda.
But there is a lot more to taste than Gouda. You can get familiar with these
cheeses during a tasting that will be combined with perfect fitting wines.
HEINEKEN EXPERIENCE
Almost everyone in the world knows Heineken beer. But have you ever been in it’s historical brewery? The
Heineken experience is as the name says a true experience. It’s interactive, full of historical
information and fun activities.
Of course there is a bar and if you choose the VIP package you can
make your own personalized beer and taste five premium beers. The Heineken experience also offers
meeting rooms which are all equipped with all the facilities
needed for a successful meeting. The rooms vary from 60m2 to 350m2
and are capable of hosting group up to 850 people.
MUSEUM TOUR
Amsterdam is known for it’s incredible collection of museums and famous
paintings, so it’s really recommended to visit some of the museums.
The most famous pieces from Rembrandt are situated in the
Rijksmuseum. The van Gogh museum is dedicated to of course Vincent van Gogh. But we have more museums like, NEMO the Science museum,
Stedelijk museum for contemporary art and
JORDAAN
The Jordaan is one of the most charming neighbourhood in
Amsterdam to just stroll around and stumble across the cutest
restaurants, oldest bars and loveliest boutique shops.
Jordaan used to be one of the poorest neighbourhoods of
Amsterdam, it was a real working-class district. You will notice when
you enter a bar in de Jordaan, that it carries a lot of history. The people
who grew up there are very nostalgic. Now-a-days it’s one of the most popular area’s to live in for the
young and trendy people.
VOLENDAM
Volendam is a small town near Amsterdam, which is sometimes called ’’the pearl of the Zuiderzee’’. You can find all the Dutch clichés in this town,
like the traditional costumes and wooden shoes. There are a lot of places where you can wear the
traditional costumes yourself and have your picture taken. It’s probably the
best souvenir you can get.
Volendam has always been a fishermen’s village and even though the fishing industry isn’t what it used to be, the harbor area is still a tourist
attraction.
