• The likelihood or chance of an event occurring• Often shown as a fraction, decimal, or percent• A tree-diagram or table can be used to show
the possible outcomes• Independent events• The outcome of one event has no effect on
the outcome of the other event– Coin and spinner

probability experiment• Probability (P) = # of favourable outcomes
