Are the Ten Commandments in the New Testament?1st Command: Exodus 20:3 (no other gods)

John 14:6

Romans 1:21-25, 30

Acts 4:10-12

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way,

and the truth, and the life. No one comes to

the Father except through me.

Rom 1:21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give

thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts

were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged

the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the

dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they

exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 30 slanderers, haters of

God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,

Acts 4:10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of

Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised

from the dead—by him this man is standing before you

well. 11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become

the cornerstone.12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 17:16,29

1 John 5:21

1Thess 1:9-10

Colossians 3:5

Acts 17:16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was

full of idols. 29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like

gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

1John 5:21 Little children,

keep yourselves from idols.

1Thess 1:9 For they themselves report

concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve

the living and true God,10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead,

Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Col 3:5 Put to death therefore

what is earthly in you: sexual immorality,

impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,

which is idolatry.

sits upon it.

Matthew 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your

name.

Colossians 3:8 But now you must put

them all away: anger, wrath,

malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

James 2:7 Are they not the ones who blaspheme the

honorable name by which you were

called?

1Timothy 6:1 Let all who are under a yoke as slaves regard their

own masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may

not be reviled.

2Thess 1:11 To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve

for good and every work of faith by his power,12 so

that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in

you, and you in him, according to the grace of

our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Phil 2:9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him

the name that is above every name,10 so that at the name of Jesus

every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ

is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Colossians 2:13-17

Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your

flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,14 by canceling the record of debt that stood

against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.15 He

disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing

over them in him. 16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and

drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a

Sabbath.17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to

Christ.

Lord, for this is right.2 “Honor your father

and mother” (this is the first

may go well with you and that you may live

long in the land.”

1John 3:12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil

one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were

evil and his brother's righteous.13 Do not be

surprised, brothers, that the world hates you.14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever

does not love abides in death.15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and

you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Acts 28:4 When the native people saw

the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man

is a murderer. Though he has

escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.”

Acts 3:14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous

One, and asked for a murderer to be granted

fathers persecute? And they killed those who

announced beforehand the coming of the

such things deserve to die, they

not only do them but give approval

to those who practice them.

Matthew 15:18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from

the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness,

1Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will

not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:

neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who

practice homosexuality,10 nor thieves, nor the

greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will

inherit the kingdom of God.

So who do you want to be your Father?

Are the Ten Commandments in the New Testament?

John 8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and

your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to

do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own

character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does

not believe will be condemned.
