Developing Capacity For Your FaithHebrews 11:1-6, Gal 3:5-7

Faith is the most important factor in our relationship with God and the foundation for Christian living. This is why the bible declares that the just shall live by faith. However, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. There is a hearing that brings faith in the heart of the believer. Such faith is full persuasion or the absolute conviction that what God says is true, real and would come to pass irrespective of any negating physical circumstance, evidence or report. Such faith pleases God and moves Him to act on our behalf. Every born again child of God has the measure of such faith but would need to continually develop it in order to make it keep producing results on all fronts. Our discussion today focuses on developing our faith to produce great results no matter the challenges we may face.

1. Why does our faith seem to be ineffective on occasions where we need it the most? Discuss.

2. The question is not whether you have faith, but what is your faith able to receive from God? Every Christian has the measure of faith at the point of salvation when they accepted Jesus as Lord but need to maintain and develop it to make it more productive (Rom 12:3). Below are strategies we can apply to continuously develop our faith for effectiveness all the time:a) Intense study of, and meditation on, the Word of God. 2Tim 2:15, Rom 10:17 b) Listening to inspired messages of anointed ministers of God Rom 15: 4, 2Pet 1:16c) Praying in the spirit and speaking in tongues. Eph 4:11-15, Jude 20d) Making Word-based confessions Heb 10:23 e) Taking action on what you have heard. Jn 13:17f) Mention others

Our walk with God is a walk of faith. It takes faith to get results from God. There is a hearing of God that brings faith. Therefore, all your efforts must be to hear God for yourself and act on it expecting to see a performance of His Word. Meditation, confessions, listening to messages, prayers, worship, and other spiritual exercises are means of building our capacity to hear from God and developing our faith to overcome all of life's challenges (Financial, Spiritual, Family, Career, Ministry. etc). Staying Strong

Phil 3: 12-14

Introduction:

Before we go into today's discussion, let us do a little exercise. Let us run on a spot for about 5

minutes. Anyone who runs till the last minute will be said to be strong. Quite interesting, wasn't

it? Just like an athlete, you need to keep at it until you achieve your aim.

What is your aim in life? .................................................. 1Cor. 9:26 (Please write

your aim in the space.)

Kiddies talk back:

As we start the race to our aim, let us remember the following:

1) We are gifted differently. E.g. some of us are picture-smart, word-smart, logic-smart,

music= smart, etc.

2) Try to understand how best you learn, E.g do I understand faster with pictures,

numbers.etc

3) Continue to do what you know how to do best.

Memory Verse: Philippians 4:13 ( NLT)

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength”.

SAY THIS TO YOURSELF: “There are no excuses! I will finish this year strong”

Puzzle:Strong, Everything, strength, Aim, Exercise, Achieve, Develop, Focus

Hygiene Tip: Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough and always wash your hands with soap and water or use your sanitizers always.
