McDonald’s has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join the Construction team, based at Collingwood on a full time basis. The main purpose of the Development Manager Construction role is: Manage documentation, tendering, authority reporting and construction project management of new restaurants in the Victorian, Tasmanian and South Australian markets; Management of development process for restaurant remodels and new equipment rollouts, inclusive of permit requirements, feasibilities & tendering, internal approvals and stakeholder management; Project budgeting and cost control across new restaurant and remodel projects Co-ordination of handover processes for new restaurants and remodel projects Management of building contractors and sub-contractors, suppliers & consultants, including annual reviews and management of post opening processes including warranty management, defect rectification and final cost analysis Development of professional collaborative relationships including regular communication with key stakeholders; Management of general issues and inquiries, including workplace safety requirements To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications: Minimum 3 years previous experience in the Development Industry; Demonstrated construction project management ability Experience and sound working knowledge of managing consultants including; geotechnical, engineering, architectural, builders, acoustic, landscape and QS including fee negotiation; Relevant construction based tertiary qualifications; Solid communication and customer service skills.
