• Y2004/2005
European commission and ASEAN Energy Facility funded the
design and feasibility study for the establishment of ASEAN
Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS)
The project was completed in May 2005 and the outcomes was
approved during the ASEAN Meeting of Energy Ministers
(AMEM) in Phnom Penh in June 2005

Part I : Theoretical test (3 hours)
• Based on understanding and follows an adult learning approach
• Test papers :
• Multiple choices and qualitative questions
• Candidates will get the test questions (120 questions) on the first
day of the training for preparation.

Part II : Practical test
The practical test requires candidates to work through the EnergyManagement Simulation Test (EMST):
• EMST designed to simulate energy management in a virtualorganization
• Candidates act as Energy Manager in the virtual organization
• Candidates will have to apply their knowledge andunderstanding of sustainable energy management and workthrough EMST to achieve certain points, as required by the test

• EMST test consists of 9 modules.
• Maximum allowed time is 3 hours.
• Test modules are grouped into 4 groups.
• Modules in the same group are interconnected.
• There are multiple scenarios for the test versions.
