The Standard for Uniformity in Construction Procurement establishes minimum requirements that are mandatory for the public sector that:

• promote cost efficiencies through the adoption of:

- a uniform structure for procurement documents

- standard component documents including forms of contract;- generic and uniform tender procedures;

• enable risk, responsibilities and obligations to be clearly identified.

DELIVERY

• Role of clients is critical – need for greater commitment, consistency and improvement

• Public sector has lost capacity• Fragmented procurement undermines delivery,

enterprise sustainability, employment, etc. • Sound policies in place, but unless backed by

implementation to enhance capability, delivery will not be achieved.

• Standard for Uniformity and Construction Register’s grading system will support improved procurement delivery efficiency
