DH-132® AS Ballistic Combat Vehicle Helmetwith water resistant communications

DH-132® AS helmets are specially designed for

use by personnel operating and manning military

armored vehicles. The three basic helmet

configurations include:

DH-132AS Basic: This helmet system features

an outer shell, inner liner and communications

kit. Typical applications for the helmet system

are military tanks, troop carriers, Stryker, LAV

and Avenger vehicles.

DH-132AS/RHIB: This helmet system features an

outer shell similar to the DH-132AS Basic, but the

helmet offers enhanced waterproofed communica-

tions for use in maritime environments. The helmet

system also includes a water-resistant inner liner.

Typical applications for the helmet system include

RHIB, MK-5 and IBU watercrafts.

DH-132AS/SV: This helmet system features a

unique design within the outer and inner liner,

which allows the helmet system to better interface

with combat vehicle sighting systems. The helmet

system also includes a communications kit. Typical

applications include use in Leopard Tanks.

All three helmets are also available as part of a

complete hardwired or wireless Gentex LVIS® Light

Vehicle Intercom System or VIC-1, VIS or other

types of intercom systems.

Every DH-132AS helmet system configuration

includes three key components: Outer Shell,

Inner Liner and Communications.

available in various colors and sizes.

• Impact protective, fire retardant, ventilated liner

(fits 5th to 95th percentile).

• Adjustable headband tensioning spring provides

uniform pressure of the ear seals and ensures

a comfortable fit.

• Modular design offers multiple communications

configurations and permits integration with most

intercoms and radios.

• Sound attenuating earcups provide hearing protection

against high levels of impulse or continuous ambient

noise (optional ANR system).

• Water-resistant communications with noise-cancelling

microphone, earphones and Push-To-Talk Switch

compatible with AN/VIC-3(V), VIC-L and LVIS® intercoms.

Helmet Shell

Removable ballistic shell with V50 of 1400 or 2150 ft/s

fits (using a 17 grain FSP) 5th – 95th percentile; attaches

to inner helmet.

Inner Helmet

Retains communications and impact media is fire-retardant

and attaches to helmet shell.

Earphones

Waterproof, available in various impendances to match

intercom or radio requirements.

Microphone

Noise-cancelling microphone on an adjustable, flexible

boom assembly.

Optional Fragmentation Protective Earcups

Provides additional protection to a V50 of 1500 ft/s using

a 17 grain FSP.

Sound attenuation capabilities

Dependant upon specific configurations. Consult the

appropriate specification sheet for the sound attenuation

capabilities of you particular configuration.

Optional ANR System

Provides communication and additional 10 dB attenuation

at low frequencies for use in high-noise environments.

Moisture resistant design allowing three operation

moded: Momentary – transit, Locking – intercom,

Center – continuous listening.
