WHERE ARE WE THIS MONTH…

South America Today’s Dance Tip

One very important thing to remember when your dancing is the fact that “Gravity Works.” You must understand and respect this force which is around us and acting upon us and our dance partner at all times. If we move our body then our feet must move after wards and always arrive at a point on the floor, “where the skull will be”

This concept is demonstrated very well by a drunk person trying to walk. Where ever the body falls, their feet will follow. Now we definitely don't want to look like that when we’re dancing but the fact is that they do move their body first and then the feet come along and are placed into a position under the body.

Understanding this in more detail will be seen in one of our instructional dance video courses. Just click on the link below to visit the dance videos section on our website.

something you love doing as a career, and you will never work a day in your life. We feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to not only see new places every day but meet new people all the time both on and off the ship.

Having dinner with guests is definitely one of the most special perks of our job and we look forward to it with joy. We may be just a couple of dance teachers, but we’re smart enough to know the best thing we can do is shut our mouths, open our ears and listen carefully to the classroom that is in session every time main course is served with a beautiful red wine. We have the privilege of being seated with people who not only have lived lifetimes ahead of us and received life experiences which we could only dream of, but they have also created some of the most amazing businesses and companies on the planet.

Friendships are made quite easily and maintained for a life time. When you work and live with people who you see every day for months at a time, you strike up an amazing bond that lasts for years and years. You all go through the same experiences every day and share the same world.

The holiday season has come and gone…

• Performing in and choreographing part of the christmas show

• Hosting parts of the New years Eve party on board Crystal Symphony

Some of the most memorable moments on board the ship are the very small parts we play as the Dance Team in the entertainment department. We get to do stuff which is kinda small and seems insignificant but carries such validity for us to know that we were chosen to perform those tasks. This is not only a great opportunity and privilege but is also a fantastic credibility statement from our bosses.

Introducing event hosts, hosting Karaoke and co-hosting New Years Eve celebrations, are just some of the roles we get to play which give us such a buzz that we literally cant get to sleep until the early hours of the morning.

OMG, Its the real Kenny Kramer…!!

You eat together, work together, and party together. One cruise could be fantastic sailing weather and then the next could have the roughest seas in the world. When you make it through together, then the bond becomes stronger and you can all laugh about it over a drink.

Website only weeks from completion. It’s been a long haul working out the in’s and out’s of this website but it’s looking very promising for the near future. The Dance House International website is nearly done. The hold up has been the fact that Anna and I are simply perfectionists and want everything we put out into the universe to be watertight and bulletproof.

The website has grown a little too from it’s original plan of just dance videos. It’s grown so much that now there are three websites that will be out there associated with our company which you will all be getting the benefit of.

There will be something for everyone, from how to place your feet on the dance floor to how to escort the lady back to her seat after you have danced with her. From understanding what shoes to wear and why, to understanding how to hold a man on the dance floor.

You will be able to take on a dance program and learn the social syllabus from the bronze level right through to oscar. You will also be able to find that wedding dance that suits you perfectly in our ready made “Wedding Dance” section. All you do is find your song and check out the choreographed routine that you can purchase and download straight to your smartphone or desktop/laptop device.

Hope you all had some fun reading.

Looking forward to the next exciting adventure…
