Diagro perfor vegetal
a combination of experience, quality and innovationThe plant nutrition sector has deeply evolved and specialized in
these last few years. The more and more frequent outbreak of
physiopathologies connected with nutrition unbalances, the ap-
pearance of problems ensuing from changes in climate and the
requests of a market increasingly eager in terms of quality and
healthiness of agricultural productions, has compelled tech-
nicians and farmers to reconsider some aspects of fertilization
techniques.
With the intentions of meeting such needs as best as possible,
Diagro has set up an alliance of three different warranty seals
– Diachem, Biagro and Cosmo Oil brands – which share cutting-
edge productive facilities, specific field experience and innovative
research on the subject of plant nutrition. Thanks to these syner-
getic factors, Diagro is in a position to offer its customers a uni-
que and original range of special products which cannot be set
against other fertilizers on the market.

CRISTAL CALCIUM Mixed solution of calcium and magnesium salts. Efficient corrector of calcium deficiencies and
with an anti-saline action.
Thanks to its particolar composition, it has an anti-saline,nutritional action and corrector of
calcium deficiencies. Among its components (calcium, organic matter and natural chelating
agents) and the water-soil system there is an exchange of cations, which improves the
chemical physical structure of soil, causing the precipitation of salts which determine salinity
(particularly sodium and chlorine) in the part of the ground with irrigation.
it is recommended also as anti-saline product in irrigation tanks and basins where it causes the
precipitation on the bottom of the sodium salts

DIAMMON Fluid nitrogen fertilizer based on ammonium sulphate.
It is applied on the leaves in all crops and vegetative phases which request additional
nitrogenous intake.
The presence of sulphur, an indispensable element in the synthesis of sulphur amino
acids, favours the production of proteic substances and increases the productive
level of treated crops.
It “cleanses” the leaf blades and favours the absorption and translocation of mixed
pesticides. while reinforcing the efficiency of the treatments.

FICUS T Fluid mixture of microelements in association with polysaccharides, algae extract and
Triacotanol.
Triacotanol is a long chain polyalcohol of total natural origin extracted by the cuticle of some
fruits and seeds. It acts at very low concentrations (about 1 ppm) and determines an increase of
the hormonal endogenous production of the plant.
It determines an important increase in the number of fruits , their esthetics and their
organoleptic qualities. The application of the product has to be done in the key moments of
the crop cycle, such as fruit setting or formation of heads (artichocke) as to obtain more fruits.
Particularly recommended for the qualitative and quantitative improvement of crops such as
apple tree, artichocke and fig.

FICUS T: applications on artichocke
WHICH BENEFITS COULD WE GET FROM TREATMENTS ON ARTICHOKE?
1. INCREASE OF PRIMARY FLOWER HEADS, HIGHER PRODUCTIVE LEVEL AND BETTER QUALITY
Combined action of phyto-hormonal compounds (auxins and cytokines) of FICUS T stimulates half-life
processes, metabolism and re-distribution of nutritional products starting from the first stages of plant
development . In artichoke crop, this product induces flower head-formation on the main stem and not on
secondary branches. Then it is possible to get a bigger size and best quality production. The selective action
of natural phytohormones included in the product, encourage absorption of nutritive substances, above all
potassium by flower heads with consequent gain of weight and consistence.
2. IT FACILITATES DEVELOPMENT OF ROOTS
Thanks to auxins and cytokines contained in FICUS T, the root apparatus and the capacity of absorption of the
plant are empowered.
3. LOWER INCIDENCE OF OPEN OR ALTERED FLOWER HEADS
The absorption of nutrients by the plant is more regular and uniform; in this way possible failure which can
lead to a deformity of the product are reduced.
4. ANTICIPATED RIPENING
The gibberellins content in algae extracts, balanced with other phytohormones encourage cellular division
and distension and anticipate blossoming.
5. LONG LIFE PLANTS
Cytokines content in FICUS T, maintain vegetative activity of the plant on a good level for a longer period, with
consequent increasing of production capacity.
6. WHEN IT HAS TO BE APPLIED ?
FICUS T has to be applied in spring at a dose of 50-100 ml /100 liters of water, with minimum 2 applications
with an interval of 15-20 days and with volumes of water of 600-800 liters per hectare. It is possible to repeat
the application in October, according to crop exigencies.

FUROS Regulator of soil microbiological activity. it is a special preparation based on natural extracts rich
in amino acids, duly inoculated with Biagro-selected microbial flora (fungi and soil bacteria)
The synergetic action among the various components gives the product strong rhizogenic
properties and contrasting capabilities against some soil parasites, particularly effective in
preventing their development
The product is always applied to the soil by sewage irrigation, whatever the irrigation system
(trickling, flowing, etc.) Maximum effectiveness is achieved by spreading the product over in
various portions coinciding with the active development phases of the root systems
Mixture is recommended for all applications with MICOR in order to speed up root development

FUROS: Activates and improves the soil microflora and microfauna.
Prevents the growth and development of pathogenic nematode larvae.
Nematodes are organisms that can be found in any type of soils in huge quantities. There are thousands of known
species and the number of individuals can reach 20/30 million units per square meter of soil; they play a fundamental
role with plants because of their action on vegetal residue decay.
Some nematode species are plant pests and can cause serious infections to crops when a certain population threshold
is exceeded and environmental conditions and the plant nutrition state are not ideal. Among the most important species
are: Meloidogyne goeldi, Prathylenchus filipjev, Xiphenema Cobb, Globodera Sharbilovich, Paratylenchus Micoletzcky,
Longidorus SPP.
FUROS is a new fertilizer with a specific action on soil. It is natural extract based on mycorrhizae, rhizosphere bacteria
and trichoderma combined with an organic matrix with high content of lactic substances and amino acids with a
strong action on root growth. The synergetic effect among the various components gives the product strong rizogenic
properties and contrasting capabilities against some fungi and soil pathogenic nematodes.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FUROS is applied directly on soil through fertirrigation in the following phases :
1) Upon transplantation at a dosage of 1,5-2 liters per 1.000 mq (15-20 l/ha)
2) A second application at interval of 5-6 weeks at a dosage of 1 liters per 1.000 mq (10 l/ha)
3) Optional third application on long-cycle crops (4-6 months) at a dosage of 1 liters per 1.000 mq (10 l/ha)
CONCLUSIONS
FUROS is a growth enhancer which activates and improves the non-pathogenic soil microflora. The product activity
is based on a principle of competition and direct antagonism.
FUROS does not interfere with useful insects’ activity and can be applied during any crop growth stage, including
harvest. Thanks to its particular composition, the product acts very well if applied in a mixture with acid products,
with organic matrix or with polysaccharide-based rooting. For this reason we recommend treatments in association
with acid organic matrix (BIOR pH 3,5) or root development enhancers (MICOR).

GOLD DUST NPK-NP-NK Water-soluble NPK-NP- NK organo-mineral complexes integrated with magnesium, iron, manganese and zinc.
Extremely fine water-soluble powder with chelate macro- and micro-elements combined with a fraction of high quality amino acids (from enzymatic hydrolysis).
Thanks to the extreme purity of its components, it guarantees high solubility and ready assimilation by the roots.
When applied in sewage irrigation, GOLD GUST combines a nutritive function with an appreciable biostimulant action on the crops, thus enabling an easy overcoming of all vegeto-productive stresses.
Thanks to the various types of formulations, the GOLD DUST line is successfully applied in all vegetative and productive phases of a great deal of horticultural and arboreal crops.
GOLG DUST 12-18-18: general-purpose balanced ternary complex, to be applied in all vegetative phases.
GOLD DUST 10-40-10: Ternary complex with a high phosphorus content, suitable for crops with high phosphorus need (e.g. floricultural and root horticultural crops)
GOLD DUST 12-42-0: “Starter effect” binary complex with high phosphorus content, especially suited in the transplantation phases and in the first half of the farming cycle.
GOLD DUST 12-0-32: binary complex with high potassium content, suitable for supporting the quick
structural strengthening of the crop and for improving the qualitative aspects of the productions.BUCKET

NOTESWhen leaf treating it is preferable to apply in the presence of a good level of atmospheric humidity (in the morning
or evening hours); make also sure the crop is carefully watered. Do not apply with high temperatures. We advise
combining the product with a fertilizer having a high phosphorus content (e.g. NUTRIGIZER 60+2E).
HORMOCURWhen applied by leaf or in sewage irrigation, HORMOCUR brings about better blossoming, greater pollen production
and increased mobility of pollinators inside the greenhouse. For the purposes of setting processes, this proves to
be crucial, especially in the presence of unfavourable conditions for the bumble-bees (e.g. low/high temperatures,
insufficient brightness, etc.)

COURGETTE: instructions for useIt should be applied on the leaves at variable dosages from 30
to 60 gr/hl. The applications, to be repeated once or twice per
week, show a manifest fruit setting and lengthening effect.
With respect to the application of traditional chemical plant
growth regulators, the crops appear less prone to stress, with
an ensuing prolongation of the harvest useful period.
Root application is not advisable.

Use a lower dose in case of close treatments and when
attending little-grown plants.
Use a higher dose during weekly treatments and when
attending fully-grown plants.
TOMATO: instructions for useLeaf application can be carried out on the “whole plant” or concentrated on the floral branching by means of a special sprinkler. Floral application can be repeated at 3 days’ intervals during “whole plant” treatments once or twice per week. Root application, which enables abating labour costs significantly, is especially advantageous in the presence of pollinators or of large cropping surfaces.

Weekly treatments.
By leaf application
In the greenhouse/tunnel at a dosage of Whole
plant or floral branching treatments. In this case we advise
using well dried pollen.
The lower dose is advised for close treatments (e.g. 2-3 times per week). The higher dose is for weekly treatments. We advise combining it with Pentakeep® (30-35 g/hl) when treating the leaves (especially in hot weather conditions) in order to reduce stress, improve setting degree and favour fruit swelling.

KOLOR: applications on apple tree
RED COLOURING OF APPLE TREE
The main anthocyanic pigment for the red colouring of several kind of apples (Redspur, Starkrimson, Galas,
etc…) is Cyanidin 3-galactosido or Idaeina (follow-> Cyanidina Synthesis).
Anthocyanic substances come from flavonoids, which are derived from cianamic acid resulting from
desamination of L- phenylalanine, by catalyzed reaction of the PAL enzyme.
This enzyme activity is strictly linked to the production and the build-up of Antocyans (Blankenship, Unrath,
1998; Chen, Breen, 1991).
It’s on record that the synthesis of Antocians and consequentely the making of red pigment, depends on
several factors (e.g.light and temperature –Andris, Cristoso 1996). Generally speaking, apple trees “get
better colouration” in cool night climate (less than 18°) and mild temperature during the day (from 20° to
25°) during pre-harvest time; colour formation is complete, in most of varieties, starting from 20-25 days
before harvest (Chalmers et al., 1973; Faragher, 1983)
Summarizing, the variables involved in colour formation are the following:
fruits have different way to react to attitude in producing colour.
a high level of Nitrogen which improves proteins production, but decrease competition,
antocyan synthesis since most of amino acid phenylalanine is destinated to synthesis of proteins.
Morover high levels of Nitrogen help foliar apparatus to branch out, this reduces the quantity of light
intercepted by the fruit for colour formation.
Potassium has a positive effect on colour formation. It’s possible that this nutrient acts as
cofactor in reactions which lead to the formation of idaeina, although it’s known that an apple tree in
good nutritive conditions should have a potassium content of min. 1,5% to grant a better colouration
of fruit.
The synthesis of the pigment involves carbohydrate reserves which decrease when
temperature goes over 25% C, for increase of breathing. At the same time thermal alteration (night and
day) should not be shocking; in this way intake of sugar is reduced and sugar is available for metabolism
useful for formation of precursors of Idaeina.
The spectrum of UV rays influence more than red spectrum of activity the colour formation.
The UV are filtered and absorbed by atmosphere : most of UV are at high altitude (e.g. mountains).
atmospheric humidity it’s not so important in factors involved for colour formation. Apple
trees improves colour process in conditions of low relative humidity, in summer. This allows a better
passage of UVA light to the fruit.
PRODUCT CARACHTERISTICS
KOLOR is a liquid product made by following components :
ORGANIC POTASSIUM: obtained by a specific production of algae extracts where the element is chemically
combined with organic matters of vegetal hydrolized . We get in this way potassium with best stability and
efficacy and easy to absorb by the plant.
VEGETAL AMINO ACIDS Totally natural amino acids, rapidly absorbed by the plant, therefore easily available,
with high content of phenylalanine
ALGAE EXTRACTS containing phytohormones of vegetal origin (auxines, gibberellins, and citochinines) and
carbohydrate of vegetal origin (among them you find the galactose) .

ACTION
KOLOR influences directly the red coloration of apples according to following factors:
1.- high organic potassium concentration, more effective and easy to absorb in comparison with
mineral potassium (both as salt and chelated) and very important for better colouring of the fruit.
2.- high content of amino acids of vegetal origin, particularly phenylalanine. This amino acid improves
the formation of cyanidin (precursor of Idaeine) and of phenylpyruvic acid (which is, in turn,
precursor of cyaniding) directing it not to the synthesis of other structural enzymes, but to production
of anthocyans: able to intensify fruit coloration.
3.- the absence of Nitrogen in mineral form does not contribute to a further vegetative growth.
4.- algae extracts contained in the formulated, besides natural phytohormones (auxines, gibberellins,
citochinines) bring carbohydrates such as galactose. This polysaccaride is necessary to complete
last synthesis reaction of red pigment idaeine, that together with cyanidin lead to formation of
anthocyans responsible of red colour in apple tree.
APPLICATIONFirst application of KOLOR has to be done 20-25 days before harvest, moment of starting of colour formation.
Standard dose to apply is 100 cc for 100 litres of water. You can repeat application after 7 days, using the
same dosage.

WALL Mixture of calcium, potassium, sulphur and eliciting substances.
It is used for preventing and healing the main physiopathies, increasing the endogenous
defence levels of cultivations, hindering pathogenic fungus settling and strengthening the
action of special fungicides.
It brings about quick healing of leaf and fruit tissues damaged by atmospheric events and/or
parasitic agents (e.g. hail, frankliniella, etc); it also provides greater mechanical resistance of
produce against processing and transport
It reduces the onset of weight decrease in the warehouse noticeably and shows a sizeable
reduction of blossom-end rot also in the storage phase.

PENTAKEEP® IRON Fertilizer based on Iron in association with 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a chlorophyll precursor and
a photosynthesis accelerator.
The product, by increasing the photosynthetic efficiency of the plant and the absorption of Iron from
the soil in an easily absorbable form, shows its efficacy even in soil and climatic critical conditions
and at very reduced dosages.
It shows a very quick and decisive greening effect. The several trials in open field gave evidence of
long lasting action, comparable to the most common formulations based on chelated Iron through
root application.
it is used to reduce iron chlorosis alone or in association with reduced doses of radical Iron . The
presence of ALA in the formulation determines at the same time relevant increases in the production

PENTAKEEP®effects on plants
PENTAKEEP® is the first fertilizer in the world to contain 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a specific amino acid, which is a
chlorophyll precursor and a photosynthesis accelerator.
The launch and development of this product all over Europe is a recent fact.
In 2003 the Japanese corporation COSMO OIL establishes a European branch by starting experimentation in The
Netherlands with various crops under greenhouse.
Soon after, during 2004 and 2005, the first market tests follow, along with experimentation in other European
countries.
At the end of 2006, thanks to an agreement drawn up by COSMO OIL and DIAGRO,PENTAKEEP® is used in Italy at last
during first experimentations in greenhouses and in open field.

What is ALA 5-aminolevulinic acid is not a simple protein-building amino acid, but rather a chlorophyll-building
compound in plants and a haemoglobin-building compound in man and animals.
The application of ALA to vegetation starts an acceleration of photosynthesis as early as 24 hours
after treatment. On the contrary, plant respiration is considerably reduced overnighThis practically
turns out in remarkable productive increments, ripening lead and increase in fruit sugar content,
thanks to the higher photosynthetic efficiency of the plant and the lower energy quantity (sugars) burnt
overnight for ensuring the respiratory functions.

Instructions for use
Open the package only the moment of use and place the dispenser at the trapping device centre. Place the
dispenser within the monitoring area.
Operating time Before the first generation’s appearance and until the end of the cropping cycle
Trap types and positioning
DELTA traps or water traps are typically used.
Place the trapping device next to the upper side of the plant, 1 mt above ground approximately, by means
of an ad hoc support.
N° of trapping devices per surface For monitoring purposes: no fewer than two traps per hectare (3-4 ideally).
For mass trapping purposes: from 20 to 40 traps per hectare.
Replacement of pheromone: replace within 2 months and remove the used dispenser from the monitoring
area.
Data interpretation
Collect trapping data weekly.
During population peaks, more frequent checks are required.

TUTA ABSOLUTA:
Defence strategy
Curbing the parasite requires constant care and repeated interventions during the whole crop cycle.
Restraining actions prove especially arduous owing to the high number of yearly generations, as the cycle
develops inside the vegetal organs mainly and owing to the ability of the insect to develop insecticide
resistance quickly.
The most correct and rational approach for an effective defense revolves around an integrated fight
strategy involving the use of effective insecticides and trapping devices for monitoring and mass trapping
purposes.
Some suggestions are given hereunder:
- let an interval of at least 6 weeks lapse between the previous crop and the new transplantation.
- use yellow and light blue adhesive trapping devices 10 days before transplantation
- use quality nets (9x6 wire/cm2)
- monitor the population with DELTA trapping devices in order to foresee the first attacks
- remove all shoots, leaves and fruits showing attack symptoms
- use trapping devices for mass trapping purposes from the start of the crop cycle, when the population is
still scarce.

POPULATION MASS TRAPPING
Mass trapping offers a substantial aid in a defensive strategy against the insect; this method is widely used
in the areas where the insect’s presence has been signaled for some years (e.g. Spain).
Such a method lies in the application of cheap and easily-made trapping devices which ensure the
effective capture of adult males.
The trapping devices can be arranged by using empty fertilizer tanks (some window openings need to be
made on the tank sides) or more simply with the aid of ordinary basins. In both cases top up with water
and a thin layer of vegetal oil (seed oil), then place the specific Tuta pheromone dispenser at the centre
of the trapping device. The male insects (up to 300 per day and per trapping device) are attracted by the
pheromone and then get entangled into y the liquid.
The trapping device needs to be positioned 40 cm above ground so that it will not be covered by the
vegetation. The range of a trapping device is about 20-25 m. We advise using 3 or 4 trapping devices per
1,000 sqm, to be placed evenly and at the same distance.
Proper maintenance of the traps needs to be ensured by keeping them clean and replacing the pheromone
every 40-60 days approximately.
DELTA trapping device for monitoring purposes Capture example
Pheromone dispenserOil/water basin trapping device
MONITORING THE POPULATION
It is carried out by DELTA-type open trapping devices designed for ensuring a larger diffusion of the
pheromone in the environment. It is a selective trapping system which attracts and catches only the male
insects of this species.
The traps need to be positioned before the appearance of the first generation and until the end of the crop
cycle. Place the trap next to the upper side of the plant, 1 mt above ground approximately, by means of an
ad hoc support.
For ensuring suitable monitoring, we advise placing 3 to 4 trapping devices per surface hectare.
Collect trapping data weekly. During population peaks, more frequent checks are required. Pheromone
delivery is ensured for about 2 months after opening the aluminium package. After this period replace the
pheromone and remove the used dispenser. The insecticide treatments need to be planned according to
the risk of attack inferred from the sum of weekly captures.

HENDOPHYT®
It is a liquid formulation, made up of a polyglucosamine polymer, to be
used in leaf treatments.
When used at a dosage between 5 and 10 l/ha it generates a
biodegradable film which enables reducing any evapotranspiration
processes on the leaves and loss of turgor in the fruits, above all in the
presence of high temperatures.
When higher dosages are used (15-20 l/ha) a biofilm is generated
(biodegradable film) characterized by high viscosity and persistence,
which offers sharp resistance against the diffusion of pathogens.
When applied in the autumn-winter period it carries out a strong
antagonistic action against kiwi’s bacterial canker and hinders the
penetration of the bacterium into the plant.
