When we ask residents what they love most about Majestic Rim, they usually answer, “the wonderful staff.” And if you ask the staff what makes working at Majestic Rim truly rewarding, they will share about the loving residents who live here. This community is family where we share our joys, celebrate life and embrace our love for one another. Recently, Majestic Rim received a letter from a resident family member and they shared this message:
“Thank you for providing such a positive place for our mother and Gordon. As a result, we can spend loving time with them, but they can have their own separate and enriching life as well. We feel blessed to have Majestic Rim in their lives and ours.”
It is the quality of life that our residents search for and have found at Majestic Rim. A recent comment shared by Delbert R., “I knew I would like it here, but I LOVE IT here. This is wonderful!”

Residents enjoy the resort-style qualities of the community, yet experience the personalization of educational programs, choice of activities and social events. We gather to learn from each other through work and life experiences that makes us each unique. We also thank those for their talent of art, music and writing. The laughing in the dining room, the conversations in the hallways, the walks around the community, these are just a few moments residents share with one another. The “Good morning” greetings and warm hellos are the highlight of our day. The Majestic Rim community is not only growing with new residents but growing in activities, events and programs as well. Whether its playing cards or dining out we try to match the interests of our residents with the activities scheduled during the days, weeks and months. And that’s when the men in the house spoke out! Our large population of residents recently gathered to promote new activities for the men to enjoy…Poker is on the way! Also we want to WELCOME the many new residents at Majestic Rim and soon they too, will be our ambassadors of the independent, retirement lifestyle that so defines our community. Welcome…

If you are one who loves a great romantic/comedy to watch, you have to see this classic, Cactus Flower. This 1969 film was directed by Gene Saks complete with an all-star cast of actors like Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman and Goldie Hawn. The famous song, The Time For Love Is Anytime was produced by legendary composer Quincy Jones.

For all the years we’ve had loving and romantic memories of Valentine’s Day, here are some surprising Valentine’s Day Facts:
189 million stems of roses are sold in the US on Valentine’s Day
Over 200,000 marriage proposals occur each February 14th
Over $1 billion worth of chocolates are purchased for Valentine’s Day in the U.S. alone
About 1 billion Valentine cards are exchanged each year
In 1537, England’s King Henry VII officially declared February 14th the holiday for Saint Valentine’s
Teachers receive the most Valentine’s cards followed by children, mothers, wives and pets.
And let’s tribute the Birthdays for those born on February 14th like Florence Henderson, Jack Benny, Hugh Downs, Vic Morrow, Tom Burlinson, Lois Maxwell, Drew Bledsoe, Michael Royer and Simon Pegg.

Goldie Hawn won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role as well as a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 1970. This young 21-year-old was witty and charming in her role as Toni Simmons as she relishes in the romantic relationship with an older Dr. Winston, played by Walter Matthau. The film was the eighth highest grossing film in 1969 and lists in the Top 10 of Romantic Comedies viewed on Valentine’s Day!
