Multiple award-winning executive educator and author whose teaching and research interests span the globe, Dr. Javidan is for-mer Dean of Research and the Garvin Distinguished Professor and Founding Director of Najafi Global Mindset Institute at Thunder-bird School of Global Management, the world’s number 1 ranked business school in international business. 

His current research is focused on scientifically identifying and defining the essential attributes of global leadership, resulting in the Global Mindset Inventory (GMI), an assessment tool that measures an individual’s potential to work effectively with others who come from different parts of the world. 

Dr. Javidan is also Past President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the world-renowned research project on executiveperformance and leadership, titled GLOBE (Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness). He is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the International Leadership Association. Dr. Javidan has been designated an Expert Advisor (Global Leader-ship) by the World Bank and a Senior Research Fellow by the U.S. Army and is widely published in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, and Academy of Management Perspectives.

His most recent book, “Develop Your Global Mindset: The Hand-book for Successful Global Leaders,” is widely available June 2013.
