that I find interesting and which have give me inspiration too do my own. There are several discs which are clever. Although some of the following discs may not be my genre they still

are very well done and very simplistic.

In this slide I will be analysing the discs that you have seen previously in ‘CD Inspiration’

I found this disc on the internet, I don’t believe it is an actual disc to a song or album. Despite this it is still very interesting.

The greatest aspect about this disc I believe, is how the art is not just a picture. It is involved with the disc itself.

The idea is very basic and simple, however, still gives a great effect and is very clever and quirky

The idea is very individual. I don’t particularly like the image of the monster/person what appeals the most is the idea.

If I were to do my own similar too this I would not use a cartoon or a picture which has been sketched. I would use a real life picture; maybe a person. Who would be involved with the centre of the disc.

The picture shows a character eating the centre of the disc, making a often plain disc stand out.

This disc is taken from ‘Arctic Monkeys’ album ‘Whatever people say I am, that’s what I’m not’

Once again this idea is simple, a standard photo is applied on to the disc to give it a life like feel, rather than a simple colour scheme.

The disc shows a picture of an ashtray, almost as if the disc is an ashtray itself.

The ashtray image is also linked to the front of the cd cover, in which a man is smoking a cigarette. Linking both the front cover to the disc itself.

As well as showing relevance to the cd cover the ashtray image could also represent a gritty life style of the band, everything they have been through; as well as the life they wish to lead.

Below is ‘Chase and Status’ – ‘No More Idols’

This is probably the most simplest of the three, however as I have seen previously, simple works excellently.

The black and yellow colour theme is also linked throughout Chase and Status products, it is very easy on the eye and the yellow writing is really exaggerated against the black background.

The text is also a common theme throughout Chase and Status products, I like the fact that all text and themes are similar throughout, this is something I wish to endorse in my own designs.

The British bulldog is once again a common theme, this links to all my other points about the use of themes. It immediately makes the audience aware that it is a product of Chase and Status
