Step 2: Highlight the chosen Stack.

Step 5: When the screen appears with the instructions, press PRINT at the top to print.

Step 1: Double Click on Walls. Step 2: Double Click on Range Hoods. Step 3: Double Click on Hearth Hood Kits (choose height option). Step 1: Highlight the wall cabinet that you wish to add a decorative (Art glass, Textured glass, or panel insert) insert to.

Step 2: Type the nomenclature of the chosen insert into the quick search box.

Step 3: Double click on the appropriate size range

to fit your chosen cabinet

and it will attach itself to the highlighted cabinet.

Step 4: To view, simply create a

rendering of your design

and your insert graphics

will appear.

Step 2: Highlight the correct modification.

Step 3: Drag the modification over the desired cabinet and release the mouse.

Quick Search Box to add to cabinets

on your floor plan.

Step 1: Double Click through Base, Panels, Back Panels (Wood), Cross Grain Veneer Back Panel (BP9634.5CRSGR for standard height;

9648 for raised bars OR V-Groove (BP4834.5VG for standard height; 4896 for raised bars). RECOMMENDED FOR USE

WITH GLAZE FINISHES. Step 2: Drag the selected panel over the desired wall and release the mouse.

Step 1: Remove all appliances that are going to be receiving decorative panels.

Step 2: Refrigerators: Click through: Tall, Panels, Refrigerator Door Panels, Selected Option,

located correct size and configuration.

Dishwashers: Click through: Base, Panels, Dishwasher Door Panels, Selected Option

Step 3: Drag and Drop the APP Panel into the spot where the appliance should be.

Step 4: If necessary, right click on the APP Panel and go into the attributes to modify the size so it will fit into the allotted space.

NOTE: THIS TIP IS FOR RENDERING PURPOSES ONLY. DELETE THESE ITEMS BEFORE CLOSING SALE.

Step 5: Create the rendering to show the customer the Custom Appliance Panels.

REMEMBER: These will not price out correctly and are only for rendering purposes.

Step 4: Left Click to Place the filler against

the cabinet.

Step 5: In Ask Attachment pop up menu,

select desired overlay, and click

the second cabinet that it will stretch

Switching Suppliers

Automatically Switch Items:

Step 1: Open the current design that you wish to price in another vendor.

Step 2: Click on EDIT and select SWITCH ITEMS.

Step 3: Select the catalog that the design was built with.

Step 4: Select the catalog that you wish to switch to.

Step 5: Click the AUTOMATIC button.

Step 6: Click OK in the box that warns you not all items were able to

switch.

NOTE: Always remember to delete catalog settings (doorstyle, finish, etc), appliances & mouldings prior to switching catalogs.

Manually Switch Items:

Step 1: Highlight an item from the “Currently Used” column.

Step 2: Find the equal item on the “Available Catalog” column.

Step 3: Click the MANUAL button.

Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 until all items have been switched over to the new

supplier.

Step 5: Click the APPLY and OK buttons.

Step 6: Select Catalog Options: Door, Wood, Finish, Upgrades…

Step 1: Highlight the cabinet to the left of the one you are about to place.

Step 2: Locate the next cabinet in the Drag and Drop menu.

Step 3: DOUBLE CLICK on the new cabinet to place it to the right of the highlighted cabinet.

Step 4: Place additional cabinets as detailed in step 4.

REMEMBER: 2020 naturally wants to place items in the floor plan from left to right. Items are placed to the right of any highlighted cabinet as long there is sufficient space remaining and you are not turning a corner. If it doesn’t work it usually means you’re double clicking on a category, not a cabinet.

Drag and Drop Menu: Replace Feature

Step 1: Highlight the cabinet you wish to replace by left clicking on it-it will be surrounded by a blue dotted line when highlighted.

Step 2: Go to the Drag and Drop menu and locate the cabinet you wish to replace the old one with. Step 3: RIGHT click on the new cabinet nomenclature in Drag and Drop.

Step 4: Select Replace from the menu options.

Step 5: The new cabinet will take the place of the old one in your design.

REMEMBER: Replace will NOT work if there is insufficient space to the right of the existing cabinet for its replacement and will NOT turn corners. If you need to replace multiple cabinets at one time, select the first one, then hold down CONTROL and select the others. Then follow steps 3-5.

Step 1: Right click the open Grid Area.

Step 2: Select Display Settings.

Step 3: Highlight Attachments (Sinks…).

Step 4: Change the Fill to Transparent.

Placing Base Board Moulding: On a Wall

Step 1: Double Click through Moulding, Other Moulding, Wall Moulding, BBM8.

Step 2: Drag the BBM8 over the desired wall and release the mouse.

Step 3: Right Click on the BBM8 and select Up/Down from the menu options.

Step 4: Lower the moulding to 0” off the ground for Base Boards or x” off the ground for wall moulding.

Step 5: Right Click on the BBM8 and select Edit Shape from the menu options and remove any unnecessary BBM8 (it will often line the wall behind cabinets).

Step 1: Open up the ROOM catalog in the Drag and Drop Menu.

Step 2: Click through: Decorative Items, Wall/Ceiling, and select a wall (most common is TC.Wall/Ceiling).

Step 3: Left click and drag the TC.Wall/Ceiling to the placement zone of the wall with the angled ceiling.

Step 4: Left click near the wall to set the TC.Wall/Ceiling. Step 5: Use your mouse to slightly extend the width of the TC.Wall/Ceiling (see below) and left click to place.

Step 6: Right Click on the TC.Wall/Ceiling and select Drag from the menu options.

Step 7: Drag the wall as far left to the end of the wall as possible.

Step 11: In the Dimensions tab change Depth (2) to the width of the room plus the thickness of the wall so the TC.Wall/Ceiling covers the entire room.

Step 12: In the Dimensions tab change Width (2) to reflect the highest point in the ceiling: When looking at the wall, if your low end is to the right: set the Width (2) measurement to 0”. If the low end of the wall is on the left side make the dimension in Width (2) the same as the TC-Wall/Ceiling).

Step 13: Click Apply – OK.

Step 1: Draw in Wall 1and set the length (ALWAYS use the Edit box to type in dimensions).

Step 2: Draw in Wall 2 and set the length.Step 3: Draw in Wall 3, set the length and set the angle at 180. Step 4: Draw in Wall 4, set the length and set the angle at 180. Step 5: Continue drawing remaining walls.Step 6: Hit ECS when all walls are in place to set the walls.Step 7: Right click on a wall and select Properties from the menu. Step 8: Highlight the wall that is to be a different height than the

surrounding walls.Step 9: Set that wall at desired height.Step 10: Click APPLY and OK.

Step 1: From the Drag and Drop Menu, drag the desired cabinet into the corner space.

Step 2: Release the cabinet when you see the double horseshoe magnet.

Step 3: In the Edit box, type in 0 for the OUT dimension.

Step 4: Hit ENTER on your keyboard.

Step 5: Continue placing adjacent cabinets.

Step 1: Open Design, Countertops and Trims Menu.

Step 2: Place a checkmark by Countertops, select the Square Foot Top and click on DESIGN. Step 3: Right Click on the countertop and select EDIT SHAPE from the menu.

Step 4: Right click on the countertop to the right of the wall jog.

Step 5: Select EXTRUDE from the menu.

Step 6: Drag the extrusion the length and the width that will allow the countertop to surround the chase and not intersect it.

Step 7: While in EDIT SHAPE mode, right click on the point between each base cabinet

adjacent to the corner cabinet and delete the points.

Step 8: Add a point to the countertop in center of the B36 in the corner (THIS IS USED

AS A REFERENCE POINT).

Step 9: Drag the new point into the corner of the walls.

Step 10: Delete the points adjacent to the corner point .

Step 11: Click on the green checkmark to save the changes.

Placing, Saving and Using Notes

Adding Notes1. Select Notes from the Task Bar at the top of the

screen. 2. Left click on Add Notes. A text box will appear with

your cursor as you drag it over the grid.3. Position the text box on the floor plan. Left click.4. Type the note in the Add/Edit Note text box.5. Touch the Tab key and the Tag Number is activated.

The Tag Number references the note. 6. Click on OK. The note appears on the floor plan.  

Saving Notes1. Follow steps 1-4 from above2. Click on Save.3. Name your file and click on Save. The note saves to

My Documents KIT folder and has a .txt suffix.4. Click OK on the Add/Edit Note screen.   Editing Notes

The note can be edited by right clicking on the actual note on the floor plan. Add Tag: Allows an additional tag to place if a tag number has already been assigned.Move: Allows the note to be placed vertically or on an angle.Rotate: Allows the note to be placed vertically or on an angle.Delete Notes & Tag(s): Will delete off the floor plan only.Edit: Takes you to the Add/Edit Notes screen so the note can be modified.

Retrieving Saved Notes1. Select Notes from the task bar and click on

Add Note.2. Place the text box on the floor plan.3. Click on Open to access the saved notes.4. Double click the note you need and click on

Open.5. Click OK in the Add/Edit note box. This will

place the note on the floor plan.

Drawing Reference Lines 1. Click Notes on the menu bar and choose a Add

Line.2. On the floor plan, left click near the note and

move the mouse to the respective item.3. Left click twice to set. Note: Tag numbers allow designers to provide

specific information. Adding lines allows designers to identify specific parts, unique options, etc.

Creating Island Files

• Create multiple islands in a common Island File.• It will assist with Time Management.• Use islands found in Literature, Displays, and old

Customer Files.

Copy and Paste Islands Between Files:

Step 1: Choose the Select Region Icon.

Step 2: Draw a Box around the desired Island.

Step 3: Right click the Island and choose copy.

Step 4: Open the file in which the island will be placed.

Step 5: Choose Edit and Paste.

Step 6: Move your cursor to the desired location and left click to

drop the island.
