No. Drexel is not being invaded; (Jander Week is hack apain and the l)oys are all waiting for their dream girls to ask them for a date. Kvery year about this time, the Drexel co-eds enjoy what amounts to a week of Sadie Hawkins Day. Someone decided several years ago that one day w a s n ’t enough for tiie girls to be able to lasso their men— so (lander Week was in- augurated at Drexel to give the co-eds a fighting chance. Choral Group From Finland To Sing Here This year on the fourth of I)e- I ceniber, Drexel will have the honor of representing Philadelphia and I the surrounding area in playing ! host to an internationally renown- ! ed group of college students— the Polytech Chorus of Finland. Com- I ing to us from a nation steeped in rich musical tradition, this I chorus represents a chosen group I of sixty of the best nmle voices ! from the student chorus of the I Finland Institute of Technology. The chorus originated in 190 4 in the first technical school in Finland, then known as the Poly- ! I technical School. The school has i I since been renamed Finland Insti- I tute of Technology; but the choral I group still retains the title of I ; Polytech Chorus. Under the di- i rection of such brilliant leaders ' ! in the field of choral music as ' Professor Heikki Klemettl, one , of the original directors, and the ; i present conductor, Ossi Elokas, , j the Polytech Chorus through the j I years has achieved world recogni- i I tion from music critics and ap-1 preciative audiences. With such a background and from the reputa- tion gained by previous choruses, it is only natural to anticipate a brilliant series of appearances. He- ginning at Princeton, and continu- ing through many cities in the United States and Canada, their tour will draw to a close here at Drexel Institute. Whether Forecast— 60— Degree Winter Predicted at DIT Last week at a Faculty Council meeting, it was decided that De- cember Graduation would be held.
