Social Media Social media is an innovative tool to communicate, inform and connect the community. We use Facebook and our school website to highlight teaching and learning. I use Twitter to showcase our achievements. Schools must seek parental consent to publish any images of any student within any social channel. It is important that parents/carers respect the school values and Department of Education Social Media policy, that being you do not have permission to post a photo of any child at Jesmond PS; only your own son or daughter. Please remember we have some students who do not give the school authority to print due to exceptional circumstances or child protection issues. P&C AGM The Jesmond Public School P&C Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 3 December at 6pm in Ms Herdegen's room. The following positions will be up for election: - President - Treasurer - Secretary - Fundraising co-ordinator/Vice President - Communications co-ordinator/Vice President Please join us at the next meeting. Pedestrian safety and road safety for kids Until the age of 11-12 years, children need active adult supervision to help them safely navigate driveways, cars, roads and car parks. Even children who seem to know all the road safety rules won’t necessarily remember to follow them. You can also teach your child about road safety, including how to be safe around parked cars and on footpaths and driveways. Your child will learn about pedestrian safety by watching you, please model safe behaviour. Enjoy your week. Deborah Kelly Book Fair Our 2019 Book Fair was our most successful Book Fair to date. We sold more than $1700 worth of products. Our school receives a percentage of sales so we were able to enhance our library with a generous amount of quality new books. Thank you to all our parents and community members who supported this event.

Library News This week is the last week that students can borrow from our library. Please ensure library books are returned next week so we can begin our annual stock take.
