Principal’s Message Good afternoon Jesmond School Community. Wow wow wow ……. This term is flying. We have had a terrific term full of learning and thinking opportunities. Reports The teachers have been assessing students and finalising Semester 2 reports. The report clearly outlines areas that your child has achieved specific stage outcomes and skills that need further development. Our staff spend a lot of time comparing student work samples and consistently judging their learning in line with the NSW curriculum. Reports will be distributed on Friday Week 9. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact class teachers and arrange a time for them to explain student comments. Teachers can also provide clarification of outcomes and grades allocated by using current student’s samples of work and assessment tasks. 2020 Leadership Speeches The leadership speeches for our 2020 captains and vice captains will be held this week. Wednesday 27th November - 9:20am - Girls speeches Thursday 28th November - 9:20am - Boys speeches Parents and carers are invited to attend. Mini Fete Tomorrow will be the final day for purchasing tokens for our Mini Fete fundraiser. There will be many fun games and prizes to be won. Tokens will be available for purchase between 8:30am-9:00am. Don't miss out! Swim School Swim School is coming to an end with only three lessons to go next week. Students have improved their swimming ability and successfully demonstrated many skills in the water. We have observed a higher level of confidence when they are in and around the pool. All students who participated will receive a certificate with their achievements noted on the back. The three catch up swimming lessons will be next week (Week 8), Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th December. Please remember to send your child to school with their swimming bags. The new venue is Stockton Pool. All students will arrive back to school before 3pm. V8 Supercars On Friday 22nd November, Stage 3 students attended the Newcastle Supercars. They enjoyed the experience of the roar of the cars as they raced passed, walking through the support cars Pit Lane, having a close look at and
