Eligible applicants: municipal public water suppliers and districts

Eligible projects: land acquisition

Maximum award: $350,000

Reimbursement rate: 50%

3 Project types

1. Land to protect existing wells/intakesMust be in Zone I (pre-1990) II or III/

A, B, or C / IWPA

2. Land to protect planned new wells/intakesMust be in anticipated Zone and be

identified by appropriate planning process

3. Land to be used for groundwater rechargeMust have suitable location and soils

and be identified by appropriate planning process

Grant procedures All projects must have board of water

commissioners vote of approval for total cost Do not purchase property until after

contract execution Project-specific DEP approval is still required Contracts will be for fiscal year 2015 or 2016 Reimbursement payments are contingent upon

completing all requirements Only documented municipal/district

expenditures will be reimbursed
