Diagnose the Infection!Main Roles
Patient – Describe symptoms and give background showing where the infection came from. (This role may be omitted in groups of 3.)
Lab Technician - Describe the results of the tests and how they help identify the infecting pathogen.
Doctor – Explain what in infecting pathogen is and how it is different from human cells. Can also describe any other information about the infection. Prescribe a medication.
Pharmacist – Describe how the medication works and how it will attack the pathogen without harming the human cells.
Optional RolesPatient’s friend or family member – Ask clarifying questions and help clarify
any information. Medical intern – Help explain the diagnosis or test results.
