O riginally from the North West of England, Artist Jim Wheat studied Civil Engineering, then moved to California before returning to the UK for a career

in Sales and Marketing. He made the move to Dubai in 2002 and became disillusioned with the superficiality of a material existence. There seemed to be an unwritten life rule that money is integral to happiness and happiness is a natural by product of money. Experiencing both 'have'and 'have nots'through commercial roles in sectors across Construction and then the Golf industry.

As Jim grew increasingly tired of this supposition he began to express himself, his experiences, his struggles and his successes through the marrying of acrylic, oil and canvas. The universal symbol of the $ seemed to impact and influence so many decisions, providing the motivation for and the limitation of many of our decisions in life. He decided that the dollar for all its pro’s and con’s would be a central feature of all of his work as Dollarsandart was born as Brand awareness within the region increases with limited edition prints aswell as original artworks and private commissions.

He enjoys enthusiastically sharing daily progress of Dollarsandart across social media channels maturing from 'Look at me I'm an Artist, this is my story' to 'Tell me more about your story, let's celebrate that'as he aims to authentically inspire others along the way in the form of new ventures with people that rock his boat. He loves delivering bespoke commissions to individuals, regional brands and causes he believes in.

His aim is simple – to encourage people to celebrate life through art by delivering Dollarsandart exhibitions and commissions with brands, people, partners, media and charities he believes in. Art Media is a powerful example of this with their strong Dubai-based Russian community supporting Dollarsandart. They've helped one of the most up and coming artists of our time, Jim Wheat celebrate Soviet culture with delivering his latest brainchild: Back in the U$$R (1961 - 1991) exhibition.
